Rick;it's been 2 days since the fight with aqualad and black manta...Yae you were hurt very badly and I'm sorry that this happened to you
Rick said as he feels as though it was his fault this happened

Yae gently holds Rick's hand before making him look towards her
Yae; don't blame yourself for what happened to me
Yae said as she reassures Rick

Rick nodded as he looked at Yae
Rick;I have to go get some things from home okay Yae and I'll be right back
Rick said as Yae understood what he meant

Yae;okay but make sure to come back okay
Yae said as Rick gave her a kiss before letting Yae to rest some more

Rick left the medical facility and headed out of the town to head back to the shrine
Rick; they're most likely already gone into hiding but right now Yae needs me but if they come back they're dead
Rick said as he uses his chains to travel to the shrine faster

(Timeskip 3rd pov)

Vandal savage and the other light members were having a conversation with black manta who luckily had his hand reattached

Luthor; you have proven to be a excellent alley so far black manta though I wish to know why you and your prodigy has been no contact in 2 days
Luthor asked as he looked at black manta's hand which was covered in a cast

Black manta; the reason for the no contact is because we engaged against Rick Termui and a unknown woman who appears to be his lover but we managed to injure her
Black manta said

As soon as he said that the whole room goes silent before klarion started to laugh

Ra's: have you lost your mind!
Ra's asked in a anger but worried tone

Aqualad who was standing by his father looked towards them
Aqualad; I thought with the capture Rick Termui I would have gained your favor
Aqualad said as he was a bit surprised when vandal slammed his fist into his desk

Vandal: not only did you hunt Rick Termui which we specifically said not to pursue but injure his lover...do you realize what you have done
Vandal said as he looked towards them

Luthor; if he is like his father than there's no telling what he'll do but he has his father's bloodlust which was started to show
Luthor said as he mentions the joker's death and brutality

Brain: he would most likely try and attack you and your protege which would ruin our mission a bit but that is only a thought
Brain said as he made a calculated suggestion

Black manta;than what do you suggest
Black manta asked as started to regret his decision

Vandal;for now stay out of sight there's no telling when he'll strike
