Now that what was there is now gone
You look back to the old times
Trapped in memory of the past
Not letting go, although you know
Sweet bitter contentment
Not moving on, still holding on
That once again someday we're to meet
Although not anymore in this life
Many has passed
I remember every single one
Engrained in my memories
the longing and regret
To think that I thought
Till the end of this journey
They would still be there
I guess just a mere delusion
Once again, once again
Should this life turn it's gears backward
Will I be able to save
That endearing smile
On times I'm not thinking
I know I should work
Else all of my thoughts
be that of longing..
Things to be considered
those that are left
those I can feel
but this be in my heart

This written in memory of my fur friends at home, in boarding house, and in school. Dang I miss them so much.. I lost a lot in 2023..
