eight: one kiss is all it takes

Changing the Miz-LA feud to include Maryse! Though Sof and Maryse are only going to be at ringside (i have big plans for the Fastlane PPV at chapter ten that'll be split into two parts and a bonus chapter that's sort of about the first female in the Bloodline 😌)

It's been a month since Sofia and Shaun were paired up as an on screen couple and a lot has happened in and out of the ring.

Inside the ring, LA won the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam with Sofia being by his side in every step of the way. Now the duo are feuding with The Miz and Maryse, having a match between the men at Payback. John Cena will also host the Premium Live Event, setting the stage for their plans at Fastlane.

Outside of the ring, Sofia and Shaun are slowly getting to know one another, being each other's travel buddy on the road. Their relationship is progressing nicely and feelings grow stronger... But they weren't official nor they haven't kissed as their own selves or even as LA Knight and Sofia Iris.

"You nervous?" Sofia pipes up as she sat next to Shaun in catering on the Smackdown before Payback

"Now why would I be nervous sweetheart?" Shaun chuckled as he drank some Mountain Dew

"Y'know, you're meeting my dad officially tomorrow. Since we're gonna be teaming up with him against The Bloodline, apparently they're recruiting a female wrestler." She says, being curious on who could it be

"Surprisingly, I'm not nervous or intimidated by your father. I'm actually excited to work with him." He says "What about you Sofia? This is going to be huge because for the first time in WWE that a father and daughter team up in an actual match." He finished drinking the mountain dew

"I'm nervous as fuck, people already talk about how I don't deserve to be here  just because I'm John Cena's kid the moment I arrived in WWE." She sighs "Sure, he watches my matches but having him next to me inside a ring is just intimidating." She adds with a frown

"You deserve to be here sweetheart, anyone who says otherwise is a big fat dummy." He smirks, making Sofia giggle

"Speaking of dummies, Henry posted about Kal watching me wrestle again on his profile, and this time he tagged me." She says "And since he's apparently single, his fans kept flooding my DMs. Some are really nice but most of them are borderline nuts, telling me to leave him alone." She shook her head

Shaun was happy that Sofia was opening up to him but he was a little protective of her and maybe even a little jealous of the A-List actor "What did you even see in that dummy huh? Was it the accent?" He teased

"Yes." She joked "But he was sweet and supportive the first eighteen months of our relationship despite being his secret. I was a very showy girlfriend on social media. I like showing off my boyfriend on my profile and at first it was difficult for me to not post adorable pictures of him and I." She smiled sadly "But I guess it's not always nice to post everything on the internet."

"You can show me off anytime sweetheart. And I'll do the same thing." He kissed her knuckles

Sofia blushed at the action "No it's okay, one thing I learned from our relationship is that it's okay to keep those photos to yourself, and that not everything should be posted on the internet. I mean I'll still post about us but it's not going to be as often as I used to do a few years ago." She smiled sweetly

"Us huh? So does this mean that you're dating me now?" He smirked smugly

"Shut up." She swats his arm playfully, blushing again "You're not so bad though." She mumbles

"You're not bad yourself sweetheart." He winked

Payback 2023, PPG Paints Arena , Pittsburgh PA

LA Knight (with Sofia Iris) vs The Miz (With Maryse)- with John Cena as Special Guest Referee

It was the closing moments of the match and Miz would often use Maryse to cheat even though John was the referee and Sofia does her best to stop her.

"You are stupid!" Maryse screeched as she was on the apron spewing English and French insults towards LA as distraction so that Miz can capitalize but Sofia grabbed Maryse's ankle and yanked her down

"How dare you-" but before Maryse can finish her insult, Sofia hits Maryse with the Blunt Force Trauma just as LA pinned Miz for the win despite almost knocking John by accident thanks to The Miz

"Here is your winner, LA Knight!" Mike Rome announced as John raised LA's hand  just as Sofia got in the ring but the two men were arguing because of the last moment's of the match.

Sofia puts a hand on her faux boyfriend's chest "Hey, what matters is that you won okay?" She told him while LA looks at her  just as John offered his hand for a handshake

"Oh so we're doing that huh?" LA said mockingly

"It's a sign of respect, you earned it." John said as LA reluctantly shook his hand "Take care of my daughter." He adds, smiling at his daughter and raised LA's arm once again

"You know I will John." He smirked, pulling his girlfriend for their first kiss by surprise

Sofia's eyes widened at the gesture but kissed him back nonetheless, running her hands through his hair and he wrapped his arms around her tightly. Not caring if her father was watching them kiss.

One thing's for sure, the kiss they shared affirmed their feelings for one another. And nobody can ever change that or tear them apart.

They pulled away as the crowd cheered for them. John never saw his daughter so happy with anyone until now. And he has noticed that Sofia was happier when she started working with LA. Something that he'd rarely seen for two years.

And now his little girl was happy again.
