This book is NOT like the Joker fanfic I've read here on Wattpad! (I've only read a few though, but still.) It wasn't intended to be a Joker fanfiction, but it turned out that way.
Even though I haven't used anything particular from a joker movie...
Jay made arrangements for a private plane to see your mother tonight after work. While you are at work, Sophia had changed shift with the other hair and makeup artist to help you out so she was at the Jokers tower. To say she was nervous was an extreme understatement, but you had made Jay promise to behave. He did for the most part.
Jay and Sophia comes down the to base, as they walk out the elevator no one looks toward them. Jonny and the team concentrating on something else, work related. As they walk into the room, Jay goes to a computer to do something not waiting for a reaction. When Wade notices Sophia in his peripheral vision he turns to her.
"Hey, you guys done?" He gives her a soft smile, she smiles back and nods. He turns toward the elevator but then back at her. "He coming downstairs?" He ask and now everyone has turned to her. She looks at them uncertain.
"Uh.." She says but look to Jay.
"I'm a little bothered by the fact i could go up to you unnoticed. Not sure i should to be disappointed in you or proud of myself. I didn't even try to sneak up to you." Jay says and everyone snaps they're head to him, now standing among them with crossed arms.

They all gape at him and he starts smirking with a chuckle.
"Like what you see?" He teases.
"Wow." Wade says. "Did not prepare myself for that. Is this how you would look like?" He asks. Jay looks down with a frown on his lips and nod.
"James!" Jonny then suddenly exclaim pointing at Jay. He looks up at him, then smile sheepishly and chuckles with a nod to him. Jonny shakes his head and then laugh.
"What?" Wade asks confused.
"We met before i worked with him, it was a long time before you became The Joker though. But I didn't recognise you as the same."
"You met The Joker before he was The Joker?" Rhea asks.
"Apparently. Funny, how random." Jonny then asks.
"You think it was random when i picked you?" Jay then says with a smug smile.
Jonny looks at him and huff in disbelief, but chuckles.
"When I became The Joker and needed a guy like him, i went to find him. Though i didn't tell him how i knew of him." Jay says.
"Why didn't I recognise your voice or something?" Jonny says frowning to himself.
"I didn't talk much in that first meeting and it was a long time between those two times." Jay shrugs.
"Unbelievable." Jonny shakes his head with an impressed smile.
"You must've been quite the ladies man back in the day." Wade teases.
"That made me sound old." Jay rolls his eyes at Wade's comment. He raises his hand up in surrender but doesn't hide his laugh.
"Yes, we were in a club, I remember more now, and the girls were all over you. But.." Jonny says and then remembers more. Everyone looks at him, Jay too.
- Flashback -
(In a bar of a club or something in Gotham years ago. Jonny comes up to Jason as a young adult or something, they start a conversation.)
Jonny comes up to the bar and orders the friends he was with some drinks. He then notices a sullen guy sitting alone beside where he stands. He looks at his friends and makes a decision to just try and cheer this guy up, before going back to them, maybe invite him if he was alone tonight.
"Hey man, this seat taken?" Jonny asks the guy, gesturing to the seat beside him on the bar. The guy looks at him and scrunches his face in a not even in the mood to be bothered look. "I'm just gonna wait for my order." He adds and sits down. The guy doesn't respond, just stares into his drink.
As they talk girls keep trying to flirt with James, but he just ignored them or pushed them away. Not interested at the moment.
A girl comes up beside the guy just when Jonny was about to say something so he stops.
"Hey, you alone here tonight? Want some compa-" She asks flirtatiously but gets interrupted.
"Piss off." The guy then tells her and the girl jumps a little and frowns angrily as she stomps away. Jonny chuckles.
"Gee.. she wasn't that bad though. Redhead not your type or something?" Jonny asks.
"Why don't you go ahead and cheer her up, and leave me alone." The guy says.
"Nah, I'm kinda her to cheer you up." Jonny then tells him. "Names Jonathan."
James looks up at the guy with a confused frown. He couldn't help but think about the girl that had been on his mind today, you're always in the back of his mind, but this day he had thought about you more than usual. His negative thoughts making him extra grumpy. He missed you, he felt miserable without you.
"So, what's clouding your mind?" He asks the guy but Jason stays silent, trying to ignore him.
Another girl comes up to Jason but he just puts his hood over his head, the girl takes the hint and leaves. Jonny notes this and then make a guess.
"It's a girl." He says.
James looks up at him like he's an idiot.
"Not that girl, of course she was a girl that's not what I meant. I mean, there's someone special on your mind. That's why you keep pushing away all these other girls." He then says.
James looks at him for a long moment, silently confirming Jonny's suspicions.
"So, what's she like? And why are you here, when you clearly rather be with her?"
"It's not that simple." He just says.
James doesn't say anything just stares at his drink again. Ordering a new one after he took the last sip.
"What's your name?" Jonny then asks.
"James." He mumbles before chugging his new drink.
"We just got off this job we did, not a bad gig but we could do better if you ask me." Jonny shrugs.
"What do you do?" James asks about what he works as.
End of flashback
The conversation made an impression on Jason, though he didn't say much mostly just listen. The next day he had actually been thinking about going to you, and was even planning to do so, but felt very conflicted about it, his negative thoughts clouding his mind, memories of what his father had said to him. When he went to work, that's when he fell, or jumped?, into the chemical waste tank. So going back to you was put on hold again, but was even harder to do now. And a few months later he finds Jonny and offer him a job with him. Not telling him that he is the guy he met once before.
