Hanging out with my next door neighbor slash newly found 'friend' should be fun..... Right?

"Coming" I yelled.
Making friends this what I'm suppose to do.
I took a deep breath and opened the door to a smiling Kale.
"Hey uh come in."
He walked inside and asked "what are we watching?"
"The Terminator, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protcal, and John Wick."
I brought over popcorn and plopped down on the couch beside Kale. We started off with The Terminator.
"So friends can like each other right?" Kale asked.
"Well, you aren't really suppose to tell that friend until the friend you like is about to get a into a relationship. What's the point in waiting just tell them." I replied with a mouth full of popcorn.
"I like you, Blaire. OK well anyway how long you staying in Montgomery?"
"Wait did you say you liked me?"
"Yeah, well?"
"Well what?" I asked.
"Well..... How long are you staying in Montgomery?"
"Oh just this summer, you do get I don't like you back right?"
"Yeah I get it."
I averted my eyes back to the screen as I felt Kale's eyes burn holes into the side of my head.
"What??!!" I yelled.
"Nothing..... its just your so beautiful."
"Yeah how many times have you used that one" I said with my eyes still on the screen.
He didn't respond he just yawned and drapped his arm over my shoulders.
"Wow subtle real subtle." I stated with a smirk.
"Shut up."
