the cat peed on the mattress again

I drove by your workplace and you weren't there
I finally tried your favorite candy bar and it might be my favorite now
I haven't forgotten how warm and safe your arms were wrapped around me
I want to hear the names that you used to call me whispered along my neck
I found a dog hair on one of my jackets that I know did not come from my cats
I do not want to do the dishes because you were the last person to touch them
I cannot sleep knowing you are somewhere sleeping alone
I finally washed your scent off of my bedsheets
I miss you
