Brock looked at everyone around the table, "I have decided guys. I would like to stay here."

Ivy stopped eating, "Are you sure Brock? I don't want you to feel pressured to stay."

Brock nodded seriously, "I am sure. In return for taking care of the house and chores, could you teach me about medicine? I have read your papers on different medical achievements."

Ivy sat up straight, "Ah! Of course, your end goal is to become a Doctor. Very well then. It is a deal. Let's get it on writing, shall we?"

Gary interrupted them, "First finish your breakfast and then you work."

Brock chuckled, "Right!"

The three girls stared at them as they talked and laughed before pulling Ash, Gary and Misty aside. They asked them what was up and the three explained Brock seemed to really like and respect Ivy. The three girls asked if he was interested romantically and Misty answered it was possible but you never know, it could just be mutual respect. They hugged Brock before leaving the island for the next one so Ash and Misty could register for the League and Contest. Gary though was focused on the research his Grandfather had given him while Ash and Misty planned their moves.

While they were talking about the next move and the mystery around the weather trio they came across a group pestering a young Lapras. It made them angry as they called their Pokemon to fight them off only to be interrupted by a Pokemon watcher who commented on their Pokemon's health and looks. He introduced himself as Tracey and complimented Ash, Gary and Misty on the well cared for Pokemon while criticizing the thugs. The criticism did not sit right with those goons and they attacked Tracey only for Jewel, Pikachu and Starmie to attack them together and send them flying off.

Misty, "That should take care of those bastards."

Gary, "Lapras is not doing well. Tracey right? Catch it please. Our rosters are full and I do not want to send it to a lab where they will be more scared."

Tracey nodded, "Okay."

Ash, "Come on! I called Nurse Joy and explained what happened."

Tracey nodded in thanks as he caught the fainted Lapras and rushed to the Pokemon centre to get the little guy checked. Nurse Joy was not happy to learn what happened but thanked them for saving Lapras. The poor thing was obviously separated from his colony and it was forbidden to capture one so young but she understood why it happened. The Lapras was obviously terrified of them and he would move to the furthest corner of the pool. It really saddened them but then Misty had a bright idea to let their Pokemon talk to Lapras, maybe they could help them out.

Ash, "It's working."

Gary, "Awesome idea Misty."

Tracey, "Yeah, he is much more relaxed now."

Misty smiled, "I am just happy it worked."

The first ribbon contest was occurring on Maikan City which was on an island next to Mikan island where Ash would challenge the Gym leader to a battle. They decided to go to the contest first and cheered Misty on her first contest while she looked at the other contestants perform. She then slapped her cheeks getting herself to focus, she was doing this for a reason, she would not back down now. It was now or never, Gary had been guiding her and Ash had trained with her even adjusting and doing as she had requested. She would show the world that she was the fourth Waterflower for a reason.

She picked her beautiful Goldeen to start off with a very beautiful performance by using an aqua ring to hold herself above the dry field. She then used her ice beam to create a pool with water to swim in showing off her beautiful fins. From the cheers she was getting it was obvious she was a favourite of the crowd and then she used a water pulse. Goldeen sent it above her head before using an ice beam on it and finally destroying the ball of ice with a mega horn. Goldeen jumped high above the ice pool hitting her target with a strong mega horn making it break into bright sparkles.
