The sound of a baby crying out rang through the air. As we open to a woman laid out on a bed. A doctor sniped the biblical cord of the infant. And began to walk away with the baby.
Leaned against the doorway with his arms crossed, an older man with slicked-back black hair with white strands popping up, and a pointy mustache that protrudes in two different directions, Watching with a sort of, dissatisfaction.

Naobito grunted, pushing himself off the doorframe as he walked in, two nurses quickly bowed their heads, but he paid them no mind, as the doctor walked up to him. The baby was cleaned off and wrapped tightly in a bundle of blankets.
"Sir," He says, pushing the baby from his chest and out to Naobito, who grabbed the baby gently. "the birth went off without a hitch. The baby is healthy."
"Yes..." He says, holding the baby close to his chest. "Yet another Great Zenin to be, born. Tell me, what is its gender?"
"Male." The doctor said, earning a nod from Naobito.
"Good..." The last thing he needed was to have was another useless woman around.
"What of the woman?" Naobito asked, glancing over at the woman who was being tended too quietly by the nurses.
"Her health is... Unknown. The birth was very strenuous on her body." The doctor explained, looking at the woman being tended to.
"I see..." Naobito said softly before the cry of the baby drew his eyes downward. "Take the baby to one of the maidens." He gives the baby back to the other doctor.
"What of His mother? Or his name?"
"The woman has outlived her usefulness, she tried standing among us men, it's best to put her down now that she's given birth to a healthy boy, so she won't be a problem in the future," Naobito said, his eyes uncaring as the doctor rocked the baby to silence him. "As for his name..." This required a little more thought."Y/n, Y/n Zenin is his name."
"A great name, Sir."
"Yes, now I've other things to attend. Get rid of the woman and clean the room. I'd rather this room not be such a pigsty." And with that, Naobito left the room. Not even bothering to look back for the last time ever to see the woman.
The doctor rocked the baby until Naobito was gone. Before turning to the two nurses. "Take him to a maiden."
"Yes sir.." she sounded no older than 15.
Handing her the baby, he let the woman walk past him and out of the room. Before looking at the woman. Who breathed heavily.
The doctor said nothing, walking over to the woman, and stabbing her throat with the very pair of scissors he used to cut her baby's umbilical cord.
The woman was too weak to do much. Her aura had been exhausted before the boy's birth. And after she had no energy to call for any of her shadows.
"Rea..." She used the last of her breath. "....lease..." And with that, her eyes and dull. And her shadow slipped from under her and took off in the direction of the door.
The doctor didn't seem to notice the shadow. Cleaning off the scissors. "Clean this all up. It's distasteful for a woman to see a mess and not clean it up."
"Yes, doctor..." She said, immediately getting to work.
The doctor grunted, muttering how that woman's blood had dirtied his clothing and a curse.
With y/n, the nurse had already given him to a maiden. Who had set him in a crib in the darkness. As he slept peacefully, a shadow darker than the darkness around the boy made a beeline for him. Coming in contact, it took the place of y/n's own shadow.

Ok, the first chapter is done. I don't know if you can tell but Zenins are kind of assholes.
