your pov
it's been a couple months, me and jade are doing great. we have a had a couple arguments but we talk it out, and it doesn't have to turn into a screaming match. We also have had play rehearsals, we have them almost every weekday after school for 2 hours . It's almost the end of the day, only one more class. I'm at my locker, and this girl comes up to me her name is Ashley, and we have a project together due on Friday.
"hey y/n, am I still coming over to work on project tonight?" she asks happily
"tonight? oh shit..yeah I guess," I say sighing
"yeah, why? what's wrong?" I asks tilting her head
"I was supposed to go on a date with my girlfriend, I forgot we had to work on the project, I'm just gonna explain to her what happened it's fine" I answer
"wait...isn't your girlfriend jade west?" she asks frantically
"yeah..." I answer confused
"you know what never mind tomorrow won't work.." she says trying to walk away
I grab her arm to stop her "nooo its fine really i'm just gonna talk to her"
"okay..." she says as I let go and walk away
after she walks away and I close my locker "hey!" jade yells from behind me.
I jump "jeez..hey jade! I was just coming to find you" I say kissing her on the cheek
"why?" she asks grabbing my hand
we start walking "We can't hangout tonight, i've got this project and I totally forgot ashley was supposed to come over and work on it"
"who ashley?" she questions angrily
"my project partner"
"so we can't hangout, but you can go hangout with some slut?" she says raising her voice
"the project is due friday I wouldn't just cancel on you for nothing, we can hangout tomorrow" I say back trying to calm her down
"fine i'm coming over while you guys work on this 'project'" jade says
"I don't think that's a good idea jade" I say fiddling with the ring jade got me
"why? so you can play smushy face with this ashley chick" she accuses
"what! no! obviously not, because you're gonna be a bitch to her, and scare her away and we need to get this project done." I say trying to communicate calmly
"okay whatever," she says coldly walking away
"jade.."
"bye" she says turned away from me walking away
I sigh and roll my eyes, obviously I don't like ashley, I wonder where this jealousy issue came from.
when the last class is over, and I go looking for jade. I see her talking to beck with huge smile and fake laugh. I chose not to say anything I just walk past them. I know what she's trying to do, she's trying to make me jealous so I just decided to not let it show that it's getting to me.
It's almost time for ashley to get here, I grab the things we'll need and sit in couch and wait. I hear a knock on the door, and open it, it's ashley. she comes in and we start to work on the project. we're also making small talk and laughing, it's a little strange but not awkward, considering I don't know her really. we work on the project for about an hour when I hear another knock on the door. I'm not expecting anyone, but I have a feeling I know who it is.
"who's that?" ashley asks
"not sure.." I say kinda nervously
"okay..."
I get up and go open the door, it's jade of course. I immediately step outside and close the door.
"jade I told you not to come," I say as calmly as possible
"okay and you're not in charge of me," she says back in an angry tone
"okay but this is my house and I just need to get this project done and me and ashley are never gonna talk again after this your freaking out over nothing."
"i'm not freaking out!"
"okay, but you're definitely feeling something"
she pushes past me, and walks into my house "jade"
she ignores me, "oh hey ashley" she says smirking
I walk in behind her and close the door, I mouth 'i'm sorry' to ashley. "look jade we gotta finish this project so you can stay but you gotta let us finish"
"of course," she says still smirking
we keep working on the project, it's pretty quiet now. "what no more talking, you scared of me ashley.." she says smugly breaking the silence.
"no.." she answers nervously
"well maybe you should be" jade replies
I clear my throat and give jade a look, she rolls her eyes back. we try and continue to work but jade keeps on interrupting.
"hey ashley didn't you have anything better to do today instead of hanging out with my girlfriend." she pauses for a second "well I guess not no boyfriend, no friends, no dad."
"jade!" I yell
"how did you even know all that!?" I can tell she's really upset "I think I gotta go...sorry y/n"
"no i'm sorry, i'll just finish the project theres not that much left anyways" I say sympathetically
she gets up and walks to the door "seriously i'm really sorry about this,"
"it's fine, bye" she says as she leaves
"jade why would you say that! and I saw you with beck earlier just because something makes you upset doesn't mean you can just go out and do whatever it takes to make other people upset." I'm really annoyed right now but i'm trying to be calm and rational
"oh please don't act so innocent! you just had to cancel our date so you stay here and be with ashley" she pretty much screaming
"would you stop that! you know I lov-.." I pause "I really like you and only you, I would never cheat on you, why don't you trust me?"
"I do.."
"yeah well it doesn't seem like it," I sigh and plop down on the couch
she walks over and sit down next to me "I'm sorry about earlier..and I love you." she says so quietly I don't know if i'm hearing it right
"you what.." I say with a smile starting to form
she glares at me "I said I love you.."
I smile big "I love you too,"
she looks back at me trying to hide her smile, she pulls me in for a kiss.
I chuckle "don't think that this made me forget, there has to be something, what happened I don't mean to be mean but what made you such a jealous person?" I ask genuinely
I can tell she starts to get angry for a second, then she takes a deep breath. "beck." she answers
"beck?" I question
"when we started dating freshman year, I caught him at a party making out with some bitch, and he would just talk to so many girls and make me feel so crazy"
"sounds like beck, I'm not like him, I wouldn't do that to you. Like you said to me I only have eyes for you," I smile hoping this made her feel better because it's true i'm not like him I only want her.
she raps her arms around me hugging me tight, I hug her back. I know this is a problem but I know we can work it out together. "you gonna apologize to ashley?"
"yeah right"
"I figured," I chuckle
