What is love? Is it attraction or personality
If you rush it, what will happen
Will it stay, will it leave?
Whatever it is, hope it has compassion
When love spreads its wings
It goes for a glide
But what happens in its just a fling?
Or it's a love that hides?
And if you're young
You're not quite sure of it, what will it become?
Well, your heart might get broken
But you know what they say
Enjoy young love, play the game and put in a token
And if you get heart broken, just know its okay
But what if you're old
You're not quite sure if anyone would want a story that's too many times told
How could people love you if you're not as beautiful?
At least that's what you think
You may think you're unsuitable
Yet you're actually a beautiful rose, painted pink
Now you're middle aged
And you have quite the battle to wage
Stay alone, choose your fate
Never love, be a recluse
Or find love because it's worth the wait
And then be with that someone, but what if that's just an excuse?
Young, old, or the in between's
Your first, your last, or your middle scene
It's not bad to wait, to rush, or to hate
Nor is it to stay, love, or to date
No matter how love comes
With yourself and someone else
Or even by caring for yourself
Love finds it's way, and its melody it hums
