Oh my, how I Love to eat some great corn
Colors such as purple, yellow, and white
There is so much about corn to adorn
Even diff'rent flavors which taste so bright

It starts with a stalk which is very tall
Then comes the ear in which contains the cob
It is a grain which we harvest in fall
Sometimes we do feed it to hairy hogs

Before it was named corn, it was called maize
A north American plant, tasty sweet
For fun activities, we plant a maze
The best vegetable, none other can beat

Corn is really the most delicious grain
So come along and hop on the corn train

This is exactly what you think this is. My first sonnet I ever submitted in my poetry class in 7th grade, it truly brings tears to my eyes
