Bonnie woke up to a winter wonderland outside, as it was Christmas morning. Her eye sparkled like confetti during a big celebration. She rushed downstairs, in her white gown, and white socks to where the ocean blue Christmas tree was with presents.
"Sweetie, wait till everyone is up, then open presents," said her father. "Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, Daddy!" said Bonnie.
"Merry Christmas, little sis," said her older brother, Dan.
"Merry Christmas, my special little pumpkin!" said her mother. You can open your presents now!"
As soon as Bonnie was about to unwrap her gifts, the Christmas tree, along with the presents melted like butter on a frying pan. This left her and her family shocked to the core.
"Merry Christmas, indeed!" Bonnie yelled. She stormed upstairs back to her room, and sobbed into her pillow.
