Finally the freakin' school day was over! It was just too boring and I could barely handle it, resulting in me bolting from my french class and straight to the form room to grab my school bag.
Toni walked in a few minutes later with a smirk on her face. She got her own bag packed and zipped it up as Sami walked in looking tired but excited. Hell, I'm excited too. We've finally finished year nine!
We stood at the bus stop which was louder than it usually is discussing (with exxagerations) on what my mum might tell me.
"You're an alien!" Toni yells with a jump that causes sixth formers to glare at us.
Sami shakes her head. "You're actually a clone and now you and the clone army are going to take over the world."
I roll my eyes as our bus comes and pulls over. We get on and sit like we usually do - Sami by the window, me next to her and Toni in front of us. It feels so normal and makes me happy. Hanging out with these two amazing people makes me happy.
"What if you're adopted?" Toni asks me, pulling my thoughts away from me.
"Huh? What?" I ask confusedly.
Sami rolls her eyes. "What if you're actually adopted like we've thought before?"
"It would explain the hair colour," I think. "And my eye colour. And why I'm nothing like my family at all."
Toni groans. "I wish I could be there with you tonight but luckily for me I have to go with my parents to 'enjoy' a nice dinner out. Boring old people talk..." She grumbles.

Sami and me get off the bus and greeted by Sami's mother who gives her daughter her overnight bag and takes the school bag away. She tells us to have fun and watches us as we leave and turn the corner.
"It's great at how close you live to the bus stop," Sami says. "I still can't get over it and I've known you for ages."
I laugh. "And you think I'm the crazy one here..."

"Mum?" I call out as we walk in through the back door and dropped our bags. There wasn't an answer until I caught sight of the message whiteboard.
'Evie - gone to pick stuff up. Be back soon. Sami I know you're reading this too so hi.'
"Okay, mum's out." I say going to my dad's CD player and turning it on and then I stopped at the CDs. "Wanna choose?"
Sami walks over and scans the mass collection of, probably, 5000 CDs my dad owns. My own CD shelf is pretty full too and Sami immediately pulls one out.
"'Three cheers for sweet revenge', anyone? Sami asks with a glint in her eyes.
I laugh and take the case away from her to put it in. I go make drinks in the kitchen and bring them back as Gerard Way's voice gets to the chorus in 'Helena'.
"I really miss MCR," Sami says. "I wish they were still together."
"Same," I say. "Though, they're solo stuff is good. Especially Ray's."
"Yeah, who knew he had such a voice on him?"
I laugh as the song comes to an end and I distinctally hear the key unlocking the front door. I pause the stereo as my mum enters the house with someone else with her.
A very familiar person.
