Third person's POV

Morning came in the blink of an eye... Misty and Latias left, and Ash was currently in a conversation with Diantha, because he wanted her help with hosting Serena's mother.

Suddenly, May and Drew appeared in the kitchen, looking kinda stressed...

"Will this take long, Ash? I kinda need to talk to Diantha too." May said.

"No, no, it's not like we need to carefully plan anything, I just needed to tell Diantha some basic things, you can have her right away." Ash responded and grabbed something to drink.

"So, what's up you two?" Diantha said, looking at kinda tensed May and Drew.

"It's just... Drew's parents want to meet you... You know, since we've been dating for a while... I've been spending a lot of time in Drew's home, and he's been spending even more time here, so it's understandable that Drew's parents want to meet you." May explained.

"O-Okay... But why are you so stressed?" Diantha wondered.

"It's just... How should I explain this..." Drew said and showed Diantha the screen of his phone with a message from his mother that said that they're coming over right now.

"I see... Well, since we'll be having Serena's mom here anyway, two more people shouldn't be a problem..." Diantha reacted to Drew and then turned to Ash. "It looks like hosting Serena's mom will be up to you."

"Well... It's not like I have any other option." Ash responded and shrugged.

Both May and Drew thanked Diantha and went to the living room to join Serena and Dawn.

Soon after that, a doorbell rang, signaling the arrival of one of the expected guests.

That guest was Serena's mom, Grace... but Drew's parents arrived shortly after.

Both Grace and Drew's parents were equally stunned by the fact that the Ketchum twins are living with Diantha, and it took a good amount of explaining.

After that, Drew's parents remained in the living room with Diantha, May, and Drew, while Ash and Serena took Grace outside as the weather was acceptable for sitting outside.

"So... Why did I have to come here and bring Serena's things?" Grace started.

Ash had to carefully explain everything, from his identity, through Serena's Aura, to the situation with Team Rocket...

"You really had no idea that Serena's an agent for Team Rocket?" Ash wondered.

"N-No, I always left her a lot a freedom to do whatever she wanted, and never really wanted to know what she's doing, because I thought she's a good girl that would've never caused any trouble... I would've never thought she would join the Team Rocket, even though she was pressed by the orphanage..." Serena's mom responded. "I always knew that I'm not her biological mother, and she always knew it too... It always was kinda awkward for me to act like one... Even though I wanted to feel closer to her, it just never really felt right..." She added.

"Is... that the reason why you always made those inappropriate jokes whenever you had chance? You wanted to feel closer to me?" Serena wondered, hearing her mother's confession.

Grace nodded, and Serena hugged her...

"I'm sorry I never told you when I needed help with something... Especially in this situation I'm facing now... wanting to quit Team Rocket... Sorry that you had to learn everything from Ash..." Serena said, still hugging her mom.

"It's okay, I'm not sure how I would be help you with this anyway..." Grace responded, patting Serena's head.

The Aura Guardian quietly watched the scene I front of him, before clearing his throat...
