I was touched by the characters in Kissing Booth.  A big thank you to Beth Reekles for sharing her characters with us.  In some ways, I was able to identify with them and watching their adventures got me thinking. The book, as much as the film, leaves us with a suspenseful ending that for my part led me to imagine...

What happened 6 years later when Elle and Noah met again in front of the Kissing Booth?  What did they say to each other during that famous motocycle ride at the end of the 3rd film ?   What are their emotions, fears and hopes?  How did they experience these 6 years apart from each other?   What would they need to forgive the other and ask for forgiveness for?  What do they need to restore their relationship?  Because I think that's what we're all hoping for...

I decided to take on the challenge of writing my own version of the sequel to Elle and Noah's story.  I took the liberty of changing some details from the original.  Elle was finally going to study medicine at Johns Hopkins after 2 years at USC being the major reason why she didn't resume with Noah all that time.  I let her shoot for the moon and travel the world.  I know that medical school in the U.S. is longer than in Canada so the timeline won't necessarily work with what Elle would have done in real life.  But to respect the 6-year leap of the original, I decided to make this small deviation.

I wrote this story in French before translating it, which is a big challenge for me.  I'm sorry if some expressions when translated don't necessarily make sense!  And now, it's time for Elle and Noah's journey on the path of memories...
