Taehyung’s corners of mouth curled, as his eyes hardened and a stern gaze remained settled over Jungkook. A breathy bitter chuckle left his lips, as he shook his head and smiled wickedly staring Jungkook’s pleading look with an emotionless touch of oppression.
" Don't make you leave? Really? " He asked, tilting his head to one side, shoving his hands in the pockets of his hands and standing upright, " When have I ever gotten a say in that? Tell me? Last time, I don't remember you asking me if you should leave or not, then how many words and my actions can make you stay or leave? "
" I promised that I'll leave you if you meet my daughter. "
" You also promised to never leave my side when we were younger. " Taehyung answered back, arching a brow, " What happened to that back that night? Don't remember? "
Jungkook stumbled back on his steps until his back rested against the wall at Taehyung’s ruthless choice of words and the addition on the stabs of his word was being done by the tone that practically felt like diving in and ruining everything apart, shredding it and tearing it taking no mercy on Jungkook’s miserable falling self.
His tone was accusatory. Like, he was standing there blaming Jungkook for some sin he had done.
Was that a sin to leave behind your continued , stable and steady life just for the sake of mental stability of one person? One person you care about the most? Was that a sin to leave your only home because you didn't want to hurt the person who carried your home in his words and his arms?
His neck dipped, as his eyes got fixed over the floor of his apartment. " You really think it was only you who suffered, isn't it? " Jungkook asked, arching his neck, staring Taehyung with half hooded exhausted eyes.
Taehyung shrugged, his body relaxed and his muscles tight. There was no sign of any kind of tension, nervous, pain or the inner chaos that was going inside Jungkook in Taehyung’s eyes or his body posture. He stood confidently straight with a betraying smile and a hard burning look glinting in those blue eyeballs of his.
" I didn't suffer. I tasted life without you. Your love held me back from having the taste of life, Jungkook. "
Jungkook snickered, shaking his head, chuckling. " Taste of life, you say. " He bit out the words, " Tasting someone's cum isn't the same as tasting life, Mr.Kim. " He muttered under his breath, keeping his eyes on Taehyung and brought himself to stand at a little distance from him,
" If you had tasted life, then your eyes wouldn't have looked like a barren land that desperately needs someone take care of that or just notice the dried, void and dull condition of theirs so they can be fixed. " Jungkook said, " You haven't gotten the taste of life since I left, that's what you should be saying. "
" Your love kept me away from tasting any beautiful thing. " Taehyung said neutrally, emotionless cover protecting him and the bitterness in his voice kept himself from giving away anything that was going inside as he recalled those past memories of his that rattled something inside him and pushed him towards the falling edge of the sharp knife of life he was bracing himself on.
" Only thing I wanted to taste was that. And, I never tasted it. Not from you. " He said and shrugged before leaning close and fisting harshly over Jungkook’s collars, yanking him close forcefully that had a hitch releasing past Jungkook’s rosy lips,
" So, don't flatter yourself that you were any good for me. You were never good for me and you'll never be. "
Jungkook’s hands gripped Taehyung’s waist, digging his nails inside and holding tightly over the warm clothed cover skin, " Let me prove myself then. Let me prove that I am good for you. I'll be good for you. Let me prove- "
