Kate (the mum) pov:
I took Isabella to her room and we just layed down on her bed not speaking for about 30 minutes. Then surprisingly Isabella says "okay mum you can tewl me mowe about the disease I havee."
"Ok. Good job being calm sweetie." I reply
"Ok well the good thing is your disease isn't really dangerous. You will just have a weaker immune system as your in an almost 2 year old's body."
"Ok." Isabella says.
"Also you get to go to school so you can graduate!" I say
"What no. I don't want to go to school. Everyone will bully me." Isabella says.
"Izzy hunny. I want what's best for you. How will you get a job when you're older if you've never finished sophomore year of high school." I say.
"I want to graduate school just not looking like a baby." Izzy says
"I get that but there's 2months left if the school year. It's just 3 weeks of may then June and a week of July . Then after that you'll have all summer." I say
"2 months is still a lot." I say.
"Ok Isabella I get this is a hard decision but you need to make a choice you can finish high school and graduate or you can go to daycare with Sofia. Doctors say it's not safe for you to be home alone and I have a job so you can choose daycare of high school. if you choose high school and you change your mind that's fine and you can go to daycare." I say
"Ughh. Can't I go to work with you?" I say
"Remember what I said about you having a weaker immune system? I work at a hospital with sick patients we don't want you getting sick." I say.
"But won't I get sick at school?" Isabella says.
"No because doctor Emily sent me a list of requirements so you won't get sick." I say
"Can't she make a list of requirements for going to work with you." Isabella says
"Look Izzy I already gave you your options daycare or high school your choice." I say
"fine. I'll go to high school." Isabella says.
"Ok should I get my laptop and read you the requirements?" I say.
"Ok." Isabella replies.
I text Ava on my phone to bring it up as I'll have proof if she reads it and ignores it.
I sent: 'can you bring my laptop up'
Ava read the message
Ava replies: 'ok'
1 minute later
Ava comes in Izzy's room and says "here" while passing it
"thanks." I say then she leaves.
"Ok I'll read you what it says." I say while loading it up on my laptop.
"Ok requirement 1: needs at least an hour and a day." I say
"Ok I don't mind naps." Isabella says
"Requirement 2: nappy should be checked often." I say. Hopefully she won't be mad at that one.
"What I don't want to were a nappy to school." Isabella says
"Sweetie I'm sure this requirement will be hard for you but you even pooped yourself in your sleep whiteout noticing." I say
Isabella (main character) pov:
Wow you're making me feel like such a baby.
"Requirement 3: must sit in an infant car seat if taking the bus to school. No walking to school alone, she must be with someone and in a Pram or carried." Mum says.
Are you serious. I can't walk to school alone. I'm not sitting in a pram or being carried Good thing I don't take the bus to school tho.
"I'm not doing any of that."
"Izzy, how about you and Ava walk to school together you can be in a pram and nobody would notice."mum says
"Ughhh, fine." I say.
"Ok next requirement. Requirement 3: her backpack shouldn't be heavy if she's carrying it." Mum says.
"Obviously my bag is going to be heavy I have so many books in there and stuff." I say
"It's ok I'll sort that out." Mum says.
Ok... not sure what you mean about that.
"Requirement 4: when lots of people in school have a flue she can not attend school unless she's wearing a glove and a mask." Mum says.
"It's fine I just won't attend school." I reply.
"Ok if that's what you want." Mum replies.
"Requirement 5: during swimming class you can only participate in the warm up and you must be wearing armbands during it." Mum says.
"Ughh." I say. At least I don't need to do the whole swimming lesson. Swimming class is torture.
"Requirement 6: she can not participate in PE (physical education) or extra curriculum sport activities. During PE (physical education) she can take her naps." Mum says
"What noooo. I'm a cheerleader. Nooooooooooo." I say.
"Sweetheart, I know you must be upset about this but I can enroll you in a cheer squad just with younger kids." Mum says.
I don't reply. Cheer was like my world. I loved cheerleading.
Mum holds my hand tightly.
"Ok requirement 7: needs a friend thats in all of her classes to help her."mum says. "Do you have anyone in mind?"
"Umm." I have lots of freinds and 3 of them are in all of my classes "daisy, Allison and Tiana are in all my classes." I say.
"Ok I'll let you pick who then I'll contact the school." Mum says.
"Finally, Requirement 8: no dangerous activities." Mum says.
"Ok that's fine." I say.
"Great. Maybe daisy Allison and Tiana can all help you one day of the week?" Mum says
"Don't mind."I reply
"Ok I'll contact the school and the school will contact their parents." Mum says
