    They would call each other nicknames that couple's typically call each other, but it was always in a platonic way because they were in a lavender marriage. Matthew was much heavier on the nicknames than Valerie. 
    Matthew would call Valerie "ma'am", "Val", "Miss Valerie", "love", "miss", "hon", "honey", and "sweetheart". Valerie calls Matthew "Matt", "hon", "love", and "dear".
