You, I, we, they, all feel its arrival;
The Yuletide season is upon us.
The season of giving, love, carnival,
Carols sung, gifting, and the sounds of bells.

Harmattan wind, first sign of its entrance.
Sounds of bangers and fireworks follow,
Rubbing palms on cold nights for heat's embrace.
It's the festive season, love's magic show.

Hear the joy of extended families
The pitter-patter and tiny giggles,
Induced by the smell of delicacies.
Under twink'ling stars, excitement bubbles.

A season of love—pure, unabated,
The saviour's birth, duly celebrated.
