In this AU John is a Gay Trans man, and Simon is a Bi Cis man. John is 21 5'10 and 140LBS, Simon is 22 6'4 and 190LBS. Simon has Depression, ADD, and Cronos Syndrome (Phobia of being replaced), John has Autism, C-PTSD, Anxiety, Bipolar Depression, Anorexia, and as a child had Trichotillomania (A disorder in which the person pulls out their hair) so he had short hair to prevent hair pulling. Simon has trouble trusting people and refuses to admit he is in love, on the other hand John is caring and optimistic, yet he has been afraid to tell Simon his feelings because he is Trans and afraid Simon won't accept him. Simon is a JR and John changed his first and last name at 16 before he joined the military
