Instead of exploring the house, Chisana waited in her room and spent it writing down her questions. That should be everything. She checks the time and knows it's almost time. With the questions, she goes to his room. 'May I come in, Reiji? Almost thirty minutes passed.'

Reiji opens the door. 'You may.' He lets her in and knows she's waiting for a sign from him to take a seat. 'Take a seat, Chisana.' Hearing the water boiler, he pours himself a cup of tea before he sits down. 'You mentioned you have questions regarding school?'

'Yes, I did. I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget one. I don't have many questions, but I'll start with the first one. In which homeroom am I?'

'In two B,' he answers and sips his tea.

'Is one of your brothers in my homeroom?' She wants to know. Will I be in Yui's homeroom? I hope not because she seems rather jealous of me.

He does like that the girl is prepared. 'You are in Laito's homeroom. When we arrive at school tomorrow, you can walk to your homeroom with him.'

She feels quite relieved that she isn't in Yui's homeroom. 'Is it possible to order my notebooks? I prefer the same notebook for all classes much like your journals. They all have the same cover.' She gives him an example.

'I see.' He finishes his tea first. 'My journals are essentially hardcover notebooks, and I do happen to have plenty in storage. Some even without my initials, I'm sure you saw the spine of the journals?'

'I did,' she nods. Thank heaven, he's reasonable. I guess that's because my questions aren't ridiculous or anything. 'That would make it easier because you already know how and where to get it. You even personalize them, so I take it you order them on a website? I just wish I could pay you back somehow.' You do a lot for me, and I don't want to take that for granted.

'Indeed I do,' he confirms. He does like that she stays on topic.

She looks at her written questions. 'Where, when, and how can I buy or get any other school supplies? Notebooks alone won't be enough.'

He gets up to grab his laptop. 'I'll order what is needed, but after your questions. What else?'

'If I have a few friends, could I go to their house for a school project?' Only one question left. She folds her hands in her lap.

He shakes his head. 'Use your study periods at school for school projects and divide the work so you can do things by yourself. I will not tolerate anyone else in our house. Whether it is a friend or another student, I suggest you partner up with Laito for a project. And going to someone else's house, no. They might have a brother or otherwise a father, do you remember what I said about the scent of another man on you?'

That's more of a demand, but I get the gist. No other man can be in my life. Make sense because being a vampire, they do have better or enhanced senses. 'If I may ask, why are you all against another man's presence on me? I mean I can't avoid them at school because it would raise suspicion or they would call me straight up a weirdo for not interacting with others. Is school not for education and learning to socialize? Socializing would allow someone to make connections that will be useful later on in life. Sure, I understand that no one at school can find out about you being vampires, but you are also the only one who will bite me. You are the only vampires at school, right?'

It could be troublesome if she does get treated differently at school for interacting with the girls only. After all, we all have some girls following our every move. All he gets is that her answer is curious and without insulting him or his brothers. 'We'll see what happens at school. I know you can't avoid them, but don't take the initiative to talk to them first. Even if they come to you, lie if you need to get rid of them. You won't get the chance because Laito will keep an eye on you.' He crosses his leg over the other. 'Any more questions?'

'Just one. Do I have to prepare a snack for a break or can I buy something in the cafeteria?' It is her next and last question.

'Despite the decent prices, I recommend you take some snacks and juice from here. I'm the one in charge of the funds and expenses, I don't like to spend money where it's not needed,' he explains. He can't help but enjoy the conversation. Simply because she stays on topic, prepared, and has good arguments. I might like to talk to you more often, Chisana. You have formulated your questions without insulting or irritating me. Her manners, open body language, and choice of words. He likes what he's seeing. Not once did I feel the need to punish you. He realizes she's kind, polite, and listens to the rules.

'Very well, thank you for your time and for answering my questions.' She gets up and bows. I can't explain it but somehow I feel a little at ease. I know they are vampires and live on blood, but no one has shown me a cruel side.

'Not so fast, Chisana.' He opens his laptop and goes to the website. 'Come here.'

As long as I listen to their rules, everything will be alright. 'Is this about the school supplies and notebooks?' She catches on and stands right next to him.

'Yes, I'll give you one of my notebooks for tomorrow. I can order this for you. Personalized with your initials on the spine. CK and it comes with labels on the cover and the spine. There is more you can personalize like a fountain pen, binders, and some other things.'

'Just the necessities will be fine. I don't need a personalized fountain pen.' She is happy to get her supplies. 'Is it also better to do my homework in my bedroom?'

'It is, but it doesn't mean you will be left alone.'

'Right, even if I hang a don't disturb sign on my door, you can teleport inside. A closed door won't stop everyone. You knock, but that makes you the only one. Something I do appreciate.' She smiles. 'Thank you for this. I will leave you alone, Reiji. Have a nice night.' After bowing, she leaves his room.

'Chisana-chan.' Yui catches up with the girl. 'Come on, I'll show you the rest. You haven't seen everything yet.'

Why are you doing this? Are you trying to get me to make a mistake? Chisana keeps her thoughts quiet but can't think of anything to be left alone. She's led outside to a different building attached to the mansion. Kanato's doll collection. You said it before. Could Kanato be the worst if I get on his bad side? 'Yui, I don't think this is a good idea. We don't know if Kanato is here, and, if he is, I'm sure he wants to be left alone. They always do.' If I want to see his dolls, I should ask him when I see him. Not without his consent. That is asking for trouble. She sees Yui opening the door.

'Come on, it's fine. I saw the dolls without him here.' Yui convinces her to come inside. Except he was here and couldn't wait to bite me. She keeps that to herself.

What am I worried about? If Kanato happens to be here, I'll be honest and tell him that Yui insisted on bringing me here. Chisana wants to go inside when she hears a faint sound. Is Kanato here? I'm not going to risk my neck for you, Yui. 'Hello, is someone here?'

'Chisana? What are you doing here?' Kanato heard their voices as he looked from one to the other girl.

Oh no! He's here. Yui would nearly panic.

'I'm exploring the house. May I look inside or is it off limits?' Chisana knows it's better to ask him. If he asks, I will tell him the truth.

Kanato shakes his head and realizes Yui is inside. Hmm, Chisana asks and is standing in front of the door. You, on the other hand, Yui. 'You may, Chisana. This is where I keep my doll collection.' He opens the door further for them.

With his permission, Chisana goes inside and can't hide a shiver. 'It's rather cold in here.'

'I thought for a moment you shivered for seeing them. Do you want to become a doll, Chisana?' Kanato followed her further inside. 'You know what, I want an answer to a different question first. Did you find this part or did Yui show you?' He knows that Yui is closer to the door. As if she wants to escape. Will Chisana tell me the truth?
