ElenaJeremiah: you and Max still coming over today, right? Bells and I are on our way to pick up Taylor.
I read Jeremiah's text quickly replying as I set it back down on my vanity. I scrunched up my nose as I finished fixing the curls in my hair. I didn't mind going over to the Fishers' house but Max didn't particularly like being around a lot of people, especially ones he didn't know. Max is an introvert with nyctophilia so it was already difficult getting him to hangout with me in the first place, let alone, during the day.
But, I also gave my word to Jeremiah I would take time to hangout with him more this summer. And, you can never say no to the golden retriever. Last night after we came back from his secret place, Max was waiting for me down at the dock so I asked Jeremiah to drop me off there. Jeremiah, being who he is, didn't just drop me off but followed along. We all ended up hanging out until early morning and the two of them got along, even though Jeremiah did most of the talking, of course.
"Eléna!" I heard my mom yell from outside. I quickly got up and headed towards my open window seeing my mom and twin standing outside looking up at my window.
"Shit," I whispered to myself. I noticed Daniel's smirk looking at me as I rolled my eyes and gave him the middle finger when mom turned around. "Ahí voy!" I yelled down to them.
I forgot my mom wanted me to help plant some new orchids in our back and front yard, she got from a local nursery here at Cousins. I ran down the stairs quickly heading into the kitchen but of course, to my surprise, I was not expecting the floor to have just been mopped. I felt my legs slide from underneath me feeling my life flash before my eyes as I tried desperately to reach for the kitchen counter to stop myself from falling. My hand slid as I tried reaching out to the counter but I missed it now knowing I was about the hit the kitchen floor, hard.
But instead, I felt two hands quickly grip the sides of my waist tightly holding me in place from falling on my ass. I gasped because the impact should have been my ass against the floor but instead it was my back against a solid chest.
A shiver ran down my body as felt lips linger near ear and the hint of his breath hit me. Was that alcohol I smelled? "I knew eventually you'll fall for me, Elena Elizeth," Conrad rasped.
I felt my cheeks immediately heat up. He hasn't called me by my middle name since we were five and he combined the two, nicknaming me 'Elel'. I squirmed slightly in his grasp as I moved my hips against him. His lips still lingering beside my ear. Why hadn't he released his hold on me or moved his mouth away?
Conrad released a small groan, whispering, "please, don't do that again." He gave my waist a small squeeze.
Ah. Guys and their weak ability to stand behind a female without getting turned on. They're so easy. I moved my hips again in a very slow rotation grinding motion against Conrad. This will show him.
I gasped as I felt one of his hands run up a couple inches underneath my shirt stopping to rest against my stomach. It was warm and rough. The calluses on his hand contrasting against my smooth skin.
His forehead dropped down to lay against my shoulder blade. He was breathing heavier now, maybe we both were. I don't know how we got here but I didn't not like it. "What are you doing to me, Elena?" He whispered.
I don't know. A couple days ago the thought of Conrad's hand wrapped around my stomach touching my bare skin would have repulsed me but right now? All I want is his touch to move lower. And, that scared the hell out of me. It's been a very long time since I've wanted or allowed the touch of another.
