Allena
I woke up to my phone buzzing incessantly, and groggily answered.
"Morning, bellissima, I'm five minutes away." Luca's voice came.
"The fuck," I mumbled, sitting up in bed.
"I called you like ten times yesterday. I'm in America for a business trip, you texted me back, remember?"
Honestly I didn't, the last week I had spent most of my time either in bed or in Adonis' room so he could use me as his punching bag.
"Uh huh," I sigh, forcing myself up.
"You ok?" He asks, "If you're not up to this then..."
"No," I say quickly. "I really need to get out of here...everything has just been..."
"Overwhelmingly shitty?" He asks.
"Yes," I smile, "That would sum it up."
"Are the twins coming as well, I got car seats just in case..."
"No," I smile, suprised that Luca Romano actually bought my sisters car seats. A couple days ago I sent the twins with Mia for a couple days before she left. I just told her I was busy and they needed to get out of the house. Not that Adonis was on a rampage and I was scared he might hurt them.
"Just us," I mumble, stumbling to my closet, and trying to ignore the pain shooting through my body. "When you get here, just wait in the car..."
"That sounds very un gentlemen like," He chuckles.
"I woke up late, I'm not dressed yet," I say.
"Ok fair. I'll wait for you out there. See you soon, bellissima."
He hangs up, and then I start worrying how the hell I'm going to hide my beaten body from him. It's clear he often can read right through me, so I strip off my pajamas, covering every bruise, scratch, or mark with makeup, and trying not to cry out in the process.
The marks on my face are less evident. Adonis doesn't usually hit me there, mostly because he knows it'll be harder for me to hide. My neck on the other hand, is another story.
Yesterday he was drunk, and mad that I sent the twins away, so he choked me, long and hard enough to leave slight bruising.
So, I decide on a black crewneck shirt, thankful the marks are no longer visible. My phone dings, signaling Luca's here, and waiting for me outside as requested.
I finish getting dressed, fix my hair, and stand at my door. For the past few days ive avoided going out as much as possible, each time Adonis ends up finding me, and things get worse from there, so I grab my phone quickly calling Luca.
"I lied, can you meet me in my room?" I say quickly. "I need help picking out what shoes to wear," I lie.
"Yeah sure," He says, his voice laced with suspicion. "I'll be right up, hang tight."
I sigh, hanging up the phone. Of course I don't actually need help. Putting together outfits has never been a weakness of mine.
