My Prologue

I was 9 when it happened
it was my birthday.
Flashback~6years ago~

My dad was throwing me a party I remember the theme was superhero, I had a purple costume on with a cape and everything, my hero name was "glitter girl" and I loved it.

I didn't have any friends so it was just me and my dad plus my little 1 yr old sister eri.

I couldn't stop the laughs leaving me from my dad trying to sing the Birthday song even though he sang super off key while I got ready to blow my candles.

Every year I never made a birthday wish, I never had a cool quirk or anything all I had were two horns on my head and that was perfectly fine for me.

My dad's quirk was that he was able to stop time, but only on certain objects, cool right!

I don't know what kind of quirk eri will get
but the two horns starting to grow on her head says she'll get the same as mine

I never knew what our moms quirk was but I'm guessing me and eri got it from her

The happiness I felt from the sound of my fathers cheer and my little sisters laughter left a huge smile on my face.

'Let this be another great year'

I looked at eri in my arms than at dad as he smiled at me
"Happy birt-" '
'BOOM'
A huge force from the side sent me flying into a wall

I curled my body around eri to protect as we crashed I could hear a strong ringing in my head

when I looked up I saw half of our house gone while the rest started to crumble down
I curled around eri quickly to shield her as the ruble started to fall on us.

I thought for sure that it was gonna collapse on us till I felt nothing, I looked up only to see every thing around us frozen and my father at the center of it all, on his knees, with blood starting to flow down his nose.

A wave of pure fear crashed into me like a tidal wave, I ran to him with Eri in my arms.

"STAY BACK J̷̢̨̘̼͙̤͚̘̝͇̪̙̺̖͆́̐ͯ̈́́ͦ̓͗̅̐̑ͬ̀́͗̄ͯ̉͡͞ā̷̵̵̹͖̙͙̟̳ͯͩ̈́ͩ̅̅ͫ̿͑ͥ̚͜͟͠͠_š̹͙͈̬̗͖ͥ̄̈́̄̕ṃ̴̧̯̯̳͖̪̖̫̰̯̠̣͖̘̭̓͌̌̇̌ͩ̅ͯ̀ͯ͌ͪ͐̾̽̊̈͒͌̐͜͜͝͡i̸̸͚͖̘͓͖̟̠̍ͭ̃̊n̶̡̪̥̙̘͎̯̾̇ȩ̸̩͍͕̞̬̬͍̃̇͗ͫ̏͑ͩͣ̆̅́͘͜_̷̢̬̦͈̝͙͙̝͎̜̏͛̔̊͗͒̓̒̿̀̑ͩ͊ !"

I remember the look in his eyes when he yelled at me, the look of regret but also the terror in his eyes as he yelled

It was a look I've never seen on my father

"ᒍ卂ᔑ TAKE ERI AND RUN! DONT LOOK BACK NO MATTER WHAT YOU HEAR" I couldn't understand what he was saying

my brain ran to fast for me to think

but that look of terror in his eyes and the sudden sound of voices getting closer made me pick up my shaking legs and run with a eri crying in my arms.

but as soon as i thought i was far enough i took a sharp left and hid behind some rubble

though I knew my father told me to not look back and I knew in my gut I'd regret this I still held my place behind a big rubble and watched

I managed to hush eri and quietly sing her a lullaby, I put on my headphones that laid near by in her ears to put her to sleep
(i dont even know how they got there?)
'Thank god they're still working.'

I looked over to see what was happening
I couldn't hear much but I could see perfectly.

Wether that was because of the adrenaline of fear in my bones or the sense of protectiveness I had of Eri, all my senses were crystal clear as I watched what was happening just 40 ft away from me.
