Grasp of Darkness

In the chilling grasp of darkness, I plea,
Save me from the cold, set my spirit free.
Daylight surrounds, yet shadows persist,
My eyes burn with tears, in solitude they exist.

Regrets and guilts, a heavy burden to bear,
Whispers of the past, a tormenting affair.
Fearful to share, lest understanding fades,
In the depths of my soul, the storm cascades.

Afraid to be labeled, a girl gone astray,
Character questioned, as doubts find their way.
Yet, I long for salvation, a release from this strife,
In the tapestry of pain, I seek a thread of life.

Not in love, nor in friendships' embrace,
I yearn for solace, a tranquil space.
Tears fall like rain, unclaimed by a hand,
In a room devoid of warmth, where shadows expand.

Is it in my mind, or reality's cruel brew?
Please save me, I implore, my plea is true.
Wipe away the tears, warm this cold abyss,
For in poetic verses, I find solace, a gentle kiss.
