Rendezvous

"Rhi...what do you mean I am at my next assignment?" Dani repeated.

"It is what it is Captian Dani...you are there, read the briefing, it will all make sense" , Rhi casually responded

Anne, with her hair all messed up and her nightgown strap falling off--still staring at Dani, trying to make sense of Dani's behavior.

Dani openned her phone to read the briefing. It was a direct order from the King, that reads classifed.

Captain Daniella. This is an urgent matter.

Mission: Stand On Guard

We have reason to believe that the royal family is in great danger. The subject by the name of Anne is in grave danger--should she perish the gates of hell will literally open. Protect Anne at all costs and TRUST NO ONE This is a top secret mission

Dani looks puzzled, she had to ask Rhi "Who else saw this messge, did you see it?"

"No, it is one of those encrypted messages, and I respect that, it just means that this one mission is a personal order from the King himself. Sorry I wish I could be more helpful Captain."

Dani pressed her telecom, "I copy, over and out Sargeant"

Rhi replied with her usual. "Be careful Captian, over"

Dani paced around the room, while getting dressed. She is making a plan for a mission briefing that was clear as mud. Then she thought of a solution.

"Get dressed, and come with me...?" She calmly asked Anne.

Anne, was still totally weirded out. "Wh...why? Where are we going? "

Dani looked at her and said "My place...I just need you to trust me."

Anne feels a deep sense of security being around Dani so she said yes and stood up to get dressed and pack.

"How long will I stay at your place?" Anne asked.

Dani, now wearing her sunglasses and checking her phone responded to her "I think, it is until further notice until things get figured out. Ready?"

Anne noded. Dani reached out for her hand, and said. "I got you, I don't know what's going on, I will explain some of it later...I think, but I got you and I will protect you."

Anne blushed and her lips smiled a little. "I know you will. I trust you."

They both hopped on Dani's bike. This time without Dani guiding her, Anne held on to Dani's waist as tight as she can then Dani drove off.

Meanwhile at the palace. The King was uneasy and was pacing around the room. He heard a knock from one of the royal guards.

"Come in!" The king ordered the guard.

"Your highness I am happy to report that the Captain has received the assignment and has started to execute it."

The King still looks a little bit worried, "Good...can you also start to make the necessary arrangements I want to go and see her..."

"Of course your highness" The guard responded.

Back to Dani, she stopped infront of a house nestled within the embrace of ancient trees, the modern mansion stood as an elegant anomaly in the heart of the woods.

Its sleek glass walls and sharp architectural lines harmonized with nature, reflecting the surrounding greenery like a living canvas. Inside, the open spaces seamlessly blended contemporary design with the organic charm of the forest. Floor-to-ceiling windows invited the dappled sunlight to play across minimalist interiors, creating a sanctuary where modern luxury whispered amid the rustling leaves and distant calls of wildlife

"We're here..." Dani said as she stepped down of her bike and made her way to enter the code on her door.

Anne walked in to the house, completely in awe and she had to ask. "You live here alone...?

"Uh huh...I don't know about you but I need to take a shower", Dani replied, but not showing any emotions, it was as if the fire they have ignited a moment ago did not happen.

Anne feels a little bit hurt..."What an ass-hole" she told herself as she proceeded upstairs to look for a vacant room to unload her things.

Dani called out to her from the bathroom, "Take the second door on your left, settle in... micasa es sucasa"

Anne saw a white soft bed that looks so comfortable. She eased herself onto the pristine white bed, its inviting softness embracing her tired form. The crisp linens cradled her like a cocoon, their cool touch a soothing balm against the warmth of the day. The mattress yielded gently beneath her weight, a welcome surrender to the promise of rest.

Outside her door she hears the water from Dani's shower. She closed her eyes to reminisce how gentle Dani's tongue was slipping in and rolling inside her mouth from this morning.

"I want that feeling again..." She told herself. But she feels in her gut that something with Dani has changed eversince she saw something from her phone this morning.

Dani turned off the shower and wrapped herself with a black towell. Dani was looking at herself in the mirror. She zoned in for a bit being reminded of how sweet Anne's lips tasted, how her hand settled comfortable between Anne's legs, just playing there, waiting. She couldn't help but compare how it felt with the Princess from centuries ago. Is it because they look alike and have the same name? Or was it supposed to be a second chance at love.

"Love is out of the question now...duty and my promise to the my Princess must come first." Dani told herself.

Her moment of thought was disturbed by the sound of her telecom. It was sargeant Rhi. "Captain do you copy? Are you alone?"

"Yes Rhi, I copy..." Dani responded

"Ok good...the King wants to rendezvous with you at a secret location in about an hour, bring the subject you are escorting and stay vigilant."

"Yes Rhi, I copy, over..."

Dani walked over towards Anne's room, she saw the door was open. Anne fell asleep, she is wearing this white button down shirt.

Dani noticed something from Anne's chest...there appears to be an old scar from what looked like an operation...a heart operation perhaps?
