three days later, parker sat behind a table in the same correctional facility that stella had been booked off to.
no one but the duo really knew the true culprit since parker had told the principal that he had brought the gun, which in fact left everything in a huge hot mess. the principal now thought that there was some crazy criminal activity at her school, so the rest of parker and stella's friends were questioned about having any involvement.
parker had been expelled, and surely stella was, too. he hadn't actually seen her yet. from what he knew, she was in a different section of the facility for whatever reason.
a door pressed open to his right and he took a quick glance at it, recognizing his mother and father.
"parker, honey, you're coming home today," she said.
"where's stella? have you seen her?"
his mother hesitated and frowned.
"what is it? is she okay?"
"honey, your friend was sent out of here yesterday. to a mental ward."
