The Secret Is Out

   A/N: Okay so I asked for the original one I started to be taken down because I finally got a better idea of where I want this story to go. For those of you who are starting to read this Fic I must warn you that is is a Sequel to The Secrets We Keep so if you haven't read that yet go read it or else you will be a bit lost when it comes to the flash backs. Now with out further a due I give you The Truth Hurts.

Chapter 1 : The Secret Is Out

Lauren's POV

My dad's words rang in my head like those annoying wind chimes that never stop. "She's 5 months old Lauren" God like I didn't know that. I mean I did give birth to her. I should know how old my own daughter is. I kept looking down at Camila who's reaction hadn't changed; she was shocked. I bet my dad was too but his anger was hiding it well.

"Lauren I am talking to you" He says and I break out of my thoughts

"I'm sorry I blanked out" I say and I see Camila finally get up with the folder in her hands

"What do you plan on doing Lauren?" My dad asks

"Nothing. I-I put her up for adoption for a reason and that's it" I say even though it sounds harsh

"You did what?" I hear Camila say and I see sadness in her eyes

"Camz please understand me I had no choice" I say

"Have you seen what it says here? It says that 3 months ago Paul found her and dismissed your request to put her up for adoption. He took her out of the system Lauren" She says and I take the folder out of her hands

"No he couldn't have he has no right" I say pissed

"He kind of does Lauren. He is the father and it shows that he had no knowledge of her existence until 3 months ago. He never really gave up the right to be her father and because of the he has parental rights too" Camila says as I look through the folder and realized she was right.

"So what does this mean?" I ask worried

"It means that the baby is now going to be part of the foster system. When Paul took her out of the system he arranged for her to stay at the agency up until this month but now that he is finally arrested the baby has nowhere and apparently no one" Camila says and gives me her please do something look.

"Camila I-I can't " I say trying to get her to understand me

"You can't or you won't" My dad says and I look at him scared

"That baby girl is my granddaughter. She's a Jauregui, asi que like it or not Lauren Michelle she is going to be with us and you are going to take responsibility. He says

"Dad I can't I signed papers okay" I say looking at him as he glares at me

"I um I'm going to go call my parents they must be really worried" I hear Camila say but I know it's because she wants to get away from me and my possible argument with my father

I look at my dad with a worried look and his glare softens a bit then nods his head towards where Camila left.

"Camz Wait" I yell catching up to her as she's walking out of the hospital again.

"For what Lauren? So you can tell me another hidden secret? let me guess you had twins no, better yet Paul never raped you" She says and I know she's mad and frustrated hell I'd be too if I just found all this out the way she has.

"Please can you let me explain. After you can do whatever you want just please hear me out" I say taking her hands in mine and giving her a sad and desperate expression.
