Ijichi returned shortly after bringing Nobara to Shoko in Jujutsu High. Horikita, standing by Megumi's side, looked on in front of them at Ayanokouji, returning from his scuffle.

In his hands laid the dead body of Itadori Yuji. Although there appeared to be no injuries, a gash through the middle of the torso above the heart was visible.

Ijichi: Ayanokouji-kun, I-I should have called for backup. I'm sorry-

Ayanokouji: No, it's ok. No one else was available and I should have wrapped up my mission quicker. But still, sending first years to fight a special grade. It'd make sense if they were like Yuta or myself. But Megumi is barely a second-grade sorcerer. They were sent there to die.

Megumi looked on, saddened at the sight of his friend, despite the time knowing each other being incredibly brief.

Megumi: Itadori...

Ayanokouji: Get inside. I already called for a larger car. Ijichi-san, bring Megumi to Shoko first so he can get checked out.

Ijichi: R-Right away!

He sighed, opening Ijichi's trunk and taking out a small white tarp. Laying it across the ground, he placed Itadori comfortably on the ground and covered his body, as the rain didn't cease for a moment.

Horikita: So, how do you feel?

Ayanokouji: I didn't know him for long but he seemed to be a pure-hearted kid. It's a shame but it needed to be done.

Horikita: Good, I'm glad you feel like shit. That's how I felt when my brother died. Now you know how it feels?

Ayanokouji: (I know it all too well.)

The image of Itadori's face, littered with a smile, started to faze out and be replaced with a man emulating a pair of beautiful blue eyes and black hair. Blood streamed from his mouth as he muttered his last words.

???: Thank you, Ayanokouji...

The entire image faded away and returned to reality, as Itadori's face was now covered in the very same white tarp.
