Fin couldn't understand how Liv had slipped passed him. He and Munch were watching the exit like hawks. He was glad that her wire was still recording, though. However, he could still hear her. She was drugged, hardcore by the sound of her slurring. Fin had stopped in his tracks when Liv had said she loved Elliot.
Of course anyone that knew the two of them could tell that they the two of them loved each other. With Elliot's marriage over, now was the chance they had to act on their feelings, if they were brave enough. Fin and Munch actually had a small bet with Cragen on whether they would admit their feelings and try with each other. Although Fin had just heard them admit feelings, he didn't think that it counted since Liv was drugged.
They were silent except for Liv's sniffing and shuddering. "Fin, turn off the recording," Elliot said just loud enough for him to hear. Knowing Liv was safe with Elliot, Fin turned off the recording and went to the passenger seat.
Munch looked at Fin expectantly. "Elliot told me to turn the recording off. Liv's with him, she's safe," he explained. Munch nodded and started the van. "Someone drugged her at the party though."
"We will have to tell Cragen tomorrow morning. Get her to the hospital and find out what all is in her system," Munch said, driving back to the station house.
Elliot didn't know if Fin did what he asked, but he hoped so. He didn't want it recording them all night. He looked down at Liv fast asleep in his arms. She looked so peaceful and relaxed. In all honesty, he was enjoying the comfort she was bringing to him. He sighed with relief and settled further into the couch.
"I love you, Olivia Benson," he muttered into her hair. He leaned down and kissed her forehead and gently wiped away the strand of hair that had fallen into her face. "You have no idea how much I actually love you."
She moaned and buried her head further into his body, tightening her grip on his hand. Soon, he fell asleep with her. Several hours later, he woke up with Liv still asleep. He turned his head to check the clock. seven in the morning. He had to wake her up to get her to the hospital. He unhooked his hand from her grip and gently shook her. "Liv, wake up."
She started stirring in his arms. Opening her eyes, she looked around and saw Elliot. She shot up and her face turned red. Looking down at her shirt, she opened her mouth to ask what happened last night, but her voice didn't work. Elliot got up to get her a glass of water. He came back and handed her the glass. She took it and drank a good amount. She sat the glass on the coffee table and cleared her throat.
"What happened?" she asked. "Why am I here wearing this?"
"You showed up last night drunk and drugged. I took your dress off and gave you that shirt. Your dress is in a bag in the kitchen. CSU should look at it. I didn't want to take your stockings off, though," Elliot explained.
Liv nodded. "Thanks," she said. She got up to head to his bathroom, but stopped and turned around. "Do you have a pair of pants I could borrow?"
Elliot nodded and went to dig up a pair of sweatpants. After finding a decent pair, he went back to her and handed it to her. She thanked him and went to the bathroom to put the sweats on. She sighed and went to the kitchen where Elliot was making some coffee. He handed her a cup and went to pour himself one. She sat at the island and drank her coffee.
"So, what's the last thing you remember?" Elliot asked. He had put a wife beater on while she was in the bathroom.
She narrowed her eyes as she took another drink. "I was at the party with Fred and his friends. They were creepy. They introduced me to a dealer by the name of Adam Karvachi, took me 'dancing' which was just them trying to feel me up. They took me to the back and started explaining how things were going to go. Gave me a drink of something. I tried to fight them off, which caused my stockings to tear. Next thing I know is I'm waking up here."
"We need to call Captain and Fin. Have them search Karvachi in Narcotics. We also need to get you to the hospital," Elliot said. Liv groaned. Elliot chuckled and nodded. "I know, but we need to know what all they drugged you with."
Elliot went to put on a regular tshirt and his shoes while Liv put her heels back on. She didn't want to wear the heels, but there was no other shoes for her to wear. Elliot saw her grimace as she stood up and he disappeared back into his room. He knew he had an old pair of sandals that he thought she could wear.
"Liv, try these," he called out to her as he found the other one. She entered his bedroom and saw the sandals.
"Thanks, El." she sat on his bed and put the sandals on. They were fairly big, but way better than the heels.
Elliot called Cragen at the hospital while Liv was with the nurses. "You should have called me last night, Elliot," Cragen scolded over the phone.
Elliot sighed and nodded into the phone, rubbing his head with his free hand. He knew he should have, but he didn't want to ruin the first good night he's had in a while. "I know, I'm sorry."
"I heard the recording, also, Elliot." Elliot stopped pacing. "You know she doesn't remember it, right?"
"Yeah, I know," Elliot said in a husky voice. He was trying not to say what he really wanted to say. Let me bask in the thought of us for at least a day. "She remembers a name, Adam Kravochi, a drug dealer."
"I'll have Fin run the name by Narcotics, in the meantime, you and Liv stay sharp. I'll see about getting a warrant for Fred's arrest based on the lab reports and the evidence on the dress." Cragen explained.
They had dropped off the dress along with her shoes to CSU before they went to the hospital. "What did they get off the dress?"
Cragen went silent. Elliot knew what that must mean. She was assaulted and doesn't remember it. "Do I need them to do a rape kit?"
"I've already called the hospital. They're telling Olivia right now," Cragen's voice was little more than a whisper.
Elliot dropped his phone and rushed into the hall to find Liv's room. Several nurses were rushing to a room that Elliot could only imagine as Liv's room. He faintly heard her voice, panicked, screeching for him. He burst into the room and rushed to her side. "Liv, calm down."
She shook her head. "No, they say I have to get a rape kit done. I would remember if they did anything to me."
Elliot took her hand in his and forced her to look at him. "Liv, look at me." She looked panicked at him. He knew she was worried that she would turn out to be like her mother, pregnant with her rapist baby. "It's just a precautionary measure. They found something on your dress to draw attention, so Cragen wanted to get it done to make sure. You're okay, Liv."
She started sobbing into his arms. The nurse stood there awkwardly waiting. Elliot held her for a moment before motioning for the nurse to come over. "Liv, she's gonna do your rape kit, okay? You've helped hundreds of women get theirs done. It will be okay," Elliot said, kissing her forehead. He pointed to the door, signalling that he'd be right outside. She nodded, wiping tears from her eyes.
Elliot leaned against the wall outside the room, listening to the nurses guide Liv through the process. As many times as she's helped other women get rape kits done, its different when you've had one yourself. He could hear her sniffing as the nurse talked her through the first part. He closed his eyes and steadied his breathing. He was getting angry, but needed to keep his cool. Liv needed him.
"Sir, is this your phone?" A nurse held out a phone for Elliot to take. He nodded and thanked her. He checked his messages while he waited. Only one from Kathy stating that the baby was right on target levels.
The baby. He still had to think about that, and the fact that they were still divorcing. He had no problem divorcing. Not really, at least. He hated that his marriage was ending, but at the same time was happy that he could now try with Liv. If he could muster the courage to tell her how he felt when she was sober.
