Jude's POV:

With a resigned sigh, I glanced both ways ensuring the coast was clear, then crossed the road. I approached the alley and my heart pounded in my chest. What was I even doing?

I paused at the edge of the alley peeking around the corner. The narrow passageway was quite dark with tall buildings casting long shadows across the cracked pavement. I couldn't see him but I knew he was there, just out of sight.

Taking a deep breath to steady myself, I finally succumbed to my curiosity and stepped into the alley. My senses were heightened as I ventured further into the unknown alley. I knew I was probably being foolish, reckless but something in me needed to know where Taehyung was going and why he was being so secretive.

As I continued down the alley, the tension in my chest grew tighter. What would I find? And more importantly, what would I do if Taehyung discovered I was following him?

Moving silently further inside, I found no signs of anyone. Contemplating I should return back since it would be better for me but a voice rang out from my back startling me.

"Missed me, bubblegum."

Taehyung!!!

His breath was hot against my neck indicated he was standing too close.

In an instant, I was spun around and forcibly pinned to the cold wall of the alley. The impact made me gasp. A groan escaped my lips as the chill from the wall seeped through my clothes, sending a shiver racing down my spine. My heart pounded in my chest and I instinctively squeezed my eyes shut refusing to face him.

I felt the warmth of his hands against my cool skin. His touch was firm yet strangely gentle and I felt his fingers pinch my chin, tilting my head up. His voice trying to coax me softly.

"Open your eyes, Bubs."

My breath hitched at the sound. I shook my head, resisting the urge to obey him. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

But the truth was, I was terrified of the infamous Kim Taehyung, the college's notorious bully. The rumors about him were enough to make anyone steer clear and here I was, cornered by him in a dark secluded alley.

Why had I been so foolish? Why had I let my curiosity lead me into this mess? Regret flooded my mind as I wondered what he might do to me. Would he beat me senseless for following him? Would anyone even know what happened to me in this desolate place?

"Open your eyes or-" he began but then his voice trailed off, leaving an eerie silence in its wake to amplifying the tension between us.

I felt his warm and tantalizing breath brushing against my forehead. Slowly, it descended to my nose and then hovered just above my lips. My mind screamed at me to run but my body remained frozen in place.
