It was one cold, October afternoon in Tennessee, 2024. I turned my key into the doorknob as I closed up my bookstore for the day. Sales were the same as usual, a couple of new people came in but that was all. The bookstore was small since I had only published 3 books, but I was well on my way to a fourth and hoped the shelves would fill up soon. Even though I wasn't a well-known author and the shop was small, I loved it anyway.
After closing, I gathered all of my papers and went to my car. I had a meeting to publish my fourth book. I was a little nervous about it, but my excitement flooded over all my doubts. As I was driving, I was thinking about how nice it would be to live my dream and become a #1 bestselling New York Times author.
I was passing a small intersection when all of a sudden, A car from the other side turned and rammed into me. I heard glass shatter, and beeping, but it was all faint. I couldn't feel anything. I felt myself drifting off, and then I blacked out.
'
Everything was blank.
And then... I had the feeling I was falling
I didn't know where I was and why, but I had the feeling I was about to find out.
