Nandini POV
Nervouness took over me and I look down at the floor, will she like me??
This question was roaming in my head continuously and my heart beats raced when she made me look at her face by keeping her palm under my chin
Suddenly, I could feel the silence taking over and I slowly opened my eyes, but soon they knitted when I found her looking at me with an adorable face
"Chaand jaisa mukhda hai nandini aapka toh" she said almost whispering in admiration
Blush crept to my cheeks and I looked down shyly, I heard maa's anklet ringing and she entered, She stood beside me and looked at aahana ji

I felt aahana ji standing up and she hugged maa, I looked up to find bhabhi already looking at me with an calm gaze and soft smile
The nervousness in my body ran down from head to toe and I could feel my throat heavy with the sudden unexpected happiness, I glanced at maa who looked at me with small tears brimming in her eyes while hugging aahana ji
Suddenly, aahana ji pulled me up from the bed and hugged me tightly, An motherly comfort overwhelmed me and I embraced her softly too
We both sat and she called bhabhi and maa to join us, She was continuously talking to me with an wide smile on her face and I was lost
Lost in this feeling of having someone who actually likes me and want's to know about me and my liking ahead of the looks
"Beta aapka pasandida rang konsa hai?" She asked me out of no where and smiling softly I thought about it for some moments "shayad bhoora rang" I replied with an unsure tone
She nodded her head happily and we went back into the conversations

After one hour,

Aahana and nandini came out of room and aahana sat herself beside shivraj and Whispers something in his ear smilingly, Shivraj nods his head softly and calls nandini "Nandini beta, idhar aao"

She tooks steps towards him and looked at him nervously, shivraj stood up tall infront of her and patted her head softly, "Hame aapki beti pasand aayi" He said and smiled looking at sarpanch who sits there with stunned expression on his face which soon changed into the happiness and he stood up hugging shivraj

The celebration surrounded the area and everyone was really happy for the proposal, while everyone hugged each other, Abhiraj's eyes didn't left nandini's figure who was smiling while looking at her father

"Aaree, beta idhar aao" aahana said and pulled nandini softly and made her stand beside abhiraj, who looked at her with widen eyes
Aahana winks at him and calls abhinav, Abhinav came with the camera and nandini quickly looks down feeling shy

Abhiraj's cheeks also grew red at the closeness and the camera on them, everyone chuckled looking at them while abhinav clicked pictures of them, while they were still looking down

The elders talks about the meets to discuss about marriage and meet pandit for the dates, while nandini and abhiraj sit there silently beside each other

Abhiraj POV
We were standing at the entrance, bidding each other's goodbyes with smiles on everyone's face,I glanced at HER who was standing at the door frame of her room with mummy when someone nudged me from behind "Bas Karo bhaiya, jabse aayein hai tabh se nihar rahe ho aap nandini ji ko" Abhinav said with lower tone

I nodded and looked at him with an smile, The disappointment I had for him in the starting of the day is replaced by adoration for having a little brother like him,

He looked at me with knitted eyebrows "Haan, esi muskuraht ke sath Matt dekho mujhe, pyaar ho jayega" He said while I shaked my head and ruffled his hairs

Soon, we all departured and made our way to home, abhinav wanted to drive the car but no matter how much good deeds he does, I can't risk my car neither my life, so he is sitting beside me with sad face, while papa is driving the car

Nandini's home, 9 pm
Saraswati and Anushka sat themselves on the bed and calls nandini into the room, Confusingly sparing an glance to the situation, nandini also sits beside Anushka and looks at saraswati who clears her throat and holds nandini's palm softly
"Nandu" she calls her softly and nandini hums in response, nervousness visible on her face
"Nandu, tumhara kya kehna hai abhiraj per?" Saraswati presses making nandini frown her eyebrows

"Matlab?"
"Matlab ki yeh beta, Shaddi gudda-guddiya ka khel nahi hai, esa kadam lene se pehle bhot soch-vichar karna chahiye, tumhe apna pura jeevan uss insaan ke sath vyateet karna hota hai, ye koi choti baat nahi hai
Tumhe aage jakar, apna sukh-dukh uss insaan ke sath beetna hai, tumhe aapne aap ko uss insaan me samarpan karna hai, tumhe uss insaan ko aagya Deni hai khud ko chuune ki, ye sab choti baate nahi hai nandu, Tum razzi ho apna ye sab kuch abhiraj ko Dene ke liye, apna har ek pal uss insaan per bharosa rakh uske sath beetane ke liye, uska khayal rakhne ke liye aur us se bhi vo hi umeed karne ke liye? Tum razzi ho beta?"

An silence took over the place, while Anushka was praising saraswati for such a good speech in her mind, nandini sat there quiet, Her heartbeats slowed down and she could feel the anxious feeling taking over her body, she doesn't know if she can give herself into this or not, she is still young to think about such big decisions of her life

"Aapko jaisa achha lage maa" she said with an heavy feeling dressing in her heart and out of vocabulary was what she felt at the same time

Her nervousness flew away when saraswati smacked her behind her neck softly, "Bhuddhu, tumhe jindagi beetani hai, toh ye tumhe sochna padega"

Nandini's eyes brimmers with slight tears, as she hugs saraswati tightly, Saraswati sighs and softly ruffles her hairs, while kissing her forehead in between
"Tumhe jaisa lage, tum mujhe bta dena, Tum jab bhi iss kadam se peeche hatna pasand karogi toh tumhari maa yaha hai tumhara sath Dene ke liye, per beta, kuch galat faisla Matt Lena"
She says and Patting nandini's head for the last time, she walks out of the room leaving Anushka and nandini alone
