As if everyone on earth forgot how to play this game
I'm a remaining player alongside many I see
Our enemies have tainted our minds, killed what we used to be
Remaining players, survivors of the war, we gather together, in hope our hearts soar
To find a cure for all that's lost, always willing to pay the cost
We want our world back, the one we lived in, perfectly and ever so happily
Flashback to how it all began, I remember distincty
Hand in hand my lover and I walked together, across the lanes of our country
Then the bombs hit the earth and shattered every bit of glass, leaving me alone
And turned society's piramid upsidedown, class and rich no longer mattered
Into nothing but survivors, the dead and the tainted the world became
Fastforward to how it is now, if only we'd known, we'd all be safe,
But we didn't, and we don't and we never really will understand what happened
From a moment to the other half the world was gone, the superiority no longer existed
Women and men all the same, power or money or even fame
It all became worthless, tainted and unpoised
It feels like the world is spinning the opposite way
As if everyone on earth forgot how to play this game
I'm a remaining player alongside many I see
Our enemies have tainted our minds, killed what we used to be
I realize slowly, our society is anew, glorified, justified and perfectly glued
Same rights to everyone, not like before, our old piramid was unjust and unknown
The price we payed, I thought then, would if really be all a sacrifice for a proper living world,
I realize slowly, the bombs were never there, the shattered glass never shattered
And I never lost my beautiful lover
I realize slowly, that the shock we thought had been a bomb
Was societly adjusting to what was needed long before, equality, justice and perfect imperfectness
That was the bomb that shook us off our feet, defeating all that was ugly and unseen
I realize slowly, the world is fine, it was always us, it's habitants that needed an adjusting
Then I woke up.
Nothing ever happened.
