Keeping you close with your hand held in mine.
Locked on your eyes to adore how they shine.
I'll relive the laughter that me and you shared.
Joyful to die with no reason to be scared.
Grateful to know that you genuinely cared.
Acceptance of fate without a single regret.
The greatest gift in life is the fact that we met.
Regardless if your love was not mine to get.
As I see the light, I start to become excited.
Maybe in the afterlife we will be united.
Unless this whole time I have just been misguided.
