A bell tolls scaring Michelle while she was eating cookies "Athena was everything to me, I worshipped her, I prayed to her. I made offerings...She never answered Not even an omen to suggest she appreciated my love." Medusa said

"I wasn't like you ,Sweetheart 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮. I would have worshipped her for a lifetime in silence. But then one day, another god came and he broke that silence your father. The sea god told me that he loved me. I felt as though he saw me in a way I had never felt seen before.. But then Athena declared that I embarrassed her and I needed to be punished Not him." Medusa said pausing before saying the last part "Me.."

"What-" Michelle muttered looking at Medusa

"She decided that I would never be seen again by anyone who would live to tell the tale." Medusa said as her voice cracked

"That isn't what happened.! My mother is just,always" Annabeth said slightly rising her voice Michelle looks down 'Is this truth.' Michelle thought before she stopped eating "The gods want you to believe that, that they infallible. But they only want what all bullies want they want us to blame ourselves for their own shortcomings-" Medusa started

"That is not what happened. And you are a liar" Annabeth yelled Michelle took a deep breath before putting her head on Grover's shoulder

"Somethings burning." Medusa sighed sounding like she was going to cry "Would you give me a hand in the kitchen I think lunch is ready." Medusa asked Percy before walking

Percy looked at Michelle as Grover was talking to her he got up and walked to the kitchen carefully

"Guys.. get ready to run" annabeth said

As the pan sizzles Percy walks in the kitchen "She's not usually like that. I mean, a little bit, she is, but that was a lot-" Percy started

"Michelle's going to betray you. Sooner or later, people like her are going to snap and I'm afraid she already did. They always do." Medusa said bluntly

"I don't think she's like that." Percy shifted Medusa sighed "Then you will be an easy mark for her when the time comes." Percy takes a step forwards before looking curiously "why do you care?"

"Your mother and I, we're like sisters in a way. Targeted by the same monster. So I find myself feeling protective of you." Medusa claimed "a monster? My mom never talked about my dad that way." Percy said

"Where is she now, your mother? Is she safe?." Medusa said "No. she's not " Percy said as tears welled up in his eyes

"And do you trust your friends to help you to make her safe? Will they let you make her safe if it conflicts with their quest" Medusa said

Percy thought for a minute "I could.. help you remove them from the equation, so that you can be free of them. If you ask me to" Medusa said before looking back

Snakes hiss as she takes off her hat.

As the group run into the basement as her footsteps come closer before the basement door shuts signaling that they're locked in a basement with the one and only Medusa...

Torch's light up the whole basement Michelle gasps as she ran into a salute before looking around at a bunch of others "come on" Michelle said pushing them in front of her

The group runs across a lot of statutes "There's four of us and only one of her. If we spilt up, She can't be watching us all at once." Grover said Annabeth stops " I don't think it'd be that simple" "it could be. Here's the plan. I'll get in the air, I'll draw her attention As soon as you hear me say, "Maia" you guys start-" Grover started before he got cut off by the shoes making him fly "oh ,boy! Okay! Um.. off. Down." Grover screams

"Oh no.." Michelle muttered annabeth looked up "So, we're gonna need a new plan." Medusa's heels clicked the ground starling Michelle "we are not out parents, until we choose to be. You three have chosen." Medusa said as the trio ran Michelle hid behind a crate before looking other to Percy who was behind another crate

"A daughter of a slef-righteous mother, who chose slef righteousness for herself" Medusa said before looking around " Anddd Michelle poor thing your mother didn't even claim you I see why you hate her. But now you are just like Aphrodite same powers, same jealousy issues, and anger. And don't forget what happened with Lorenzo" Medusa said before laughing quietly

"And you, you could have shown your father. What it means to stand up to someone you love. You could choose to save your mother instead of doing your father's bidding. If none of you will help teach these lessons, perhaps you should be the lessons." Medusa said as Percy got out his sword making it glow

"When I ship you statues to Olympus.. Maybe that will get my point across even better. Stand up let's have a look at you" Medusa said walking near Percy

Percy jumped up holding his sword eyes closed Grover yells making Medusa look up. Then annabeth put the hat on Medusa making her turn invisible "Now!" Annabeth yelled before Percy cut off Medusa's head

Her body falls to the floor as the head rolls

"Did you hear that?" Percy says outta breath

As Michelle starts to get up she notices a statue.. it's her father tears welled up her eyes she stumbles back in shocked she falls to the floor as she bursts in tears. Her father never went here right..
