Thomas vs. Lightning McQueen

Chapter 1: Preparations

     Thomas was at the station with his friend James. They were talking about their friend Hilda. They missed her company but they planned to see her at the train station later today. She was very skilled at riding tank engines. She could do almost anything she put her mind to, and they admired her for that. 

     Back at Hilda's house she was eating lunch preparing to go see her tank engine friends. They didn't know it yet but Hilda planned to bring her two friends Lightning McQueen and Mater with her. She wanted to introduce them to her friends down at the station. She was very excited to do so.

     "Hilda, do you think your friends will like us? I'm nervous about meeting them." asked Lightning McQueen. It was unusual for him to be nervous, he was normally very confident. "I'm sure they will like you! You have nothing to worry about!" Hilda was very surprised by Lightning McQueen's nervousness.  "Are they cars like us?" asked Mater. "Not exactly.." replied Hilda. "Welp! its time to go meet them!" said Hilda. 

The three friends went on their way to the train station...
