Thomas vs. Lightning McQueen

Chapter 4: The big race

      While Hilda and Mater were on their way to apologize, Thomas and Lightning McQueen were preparing for their race.

     "Are you ready?" asked Lightning McQueen. "Yes. I am!" responded Thomas. Lightning McQueen smiled. James counted them off and they began to speed! They were both going so fast it was hard to tell who was in the lead. James was worried if they would crash or not be able to slow down because of how fast they were moving! They raced and raced everywhere. Although they were rapidly approaching the finish line Lightning McQueen was in the lead and ended up winning the race.

     Even though Thomas had lost the race he was so happy to have participated and happy to have a supportive friend like Lightning McQueen. They both smiled at each other until they could see Hilda and Mater approaching in the distance. Thomas started to shake, worried that he would be bullied Again by Mater.
