Chapter 9

Y/n POV

Once we got off the bullhead, Ozpin, Mum and Qrow walked over to us. Summer woke up and looked at everyone confused.

Summer: Q-Qrow? Raven?

I take my hood off and stare her in the eyes. She begins tearing up and walks up to hug me but I punch her in the face, making her stumble back.

Y/n: Go fuck yourself. Ozpin, I need to talk to you privately.

He nods before walking with me to Mum and my house.

Y/n: Why the fuck was she the package?

Ozpin: She has information on the Templars and that is something we can work with. You don't need to act friendly with her, I just don't want her dying.

Y/n: Fine. Secondly...

I pull out the disk artifact I stole from the Abstergo compound and show it to Ozpin.

Y/n: When I touched this I was... somewhere else. I was cold, scared, worried for my safety. On the way back I got the others to touch it and nothing happened, only when I touched it. Ozpin, is there something you're not telling me?

Ozpin was silent for a while before finally speaking up.

Ozpin: Yes, I there is. You're the second to last of an ancient race known as the Isu. I am the other. When Raven first informed me of you, I came over to take a blood sample, and you were indeed an Isu. The artifact you touched was one from a long past, a memory disk, it contains your memories from your life as an Isu. Long ago, I placed you in a cryochamber to ensure you aren't hurt and... thousands of years later, you stand here, without the memories of your past life. The Isu are a powerful race, able to kill the creator of the Grimm.

I stare at him, trying to process the information I was given. I sit on the ground and lean against the wall before looking up at Ozpin.

Y/n: Why hide my past?

Ozpin: To protect you. If the Templars found out of your heritage they would use you as a weapon and strip you of your life. I did it to protect you, Y/n. If you want to remember more, I will help you unlock the disk.

I look down at a loss for words. Ozpin walks away leaving me but I look up at him.

Y/n: How long has Qrow and Raven known?

She stops in his tracks before looking over his shoulder at me.

Ozpin: Ever since she adopted you.

He then turns and walks away leaving me alone to contemplate the information he had given me. I stand up and walk to the holding cell where RWBY was being held. I open the door and see them sitting of seats before looking at me.

Y/n: I'm letting you roam around. You touch anything, dead. You say anything to anyone when you leave, dead. Understand?

They all nodded before walking out of the cell. Yang and Ruby stopped dead in their tracks before looking at Summer with tears in their eyes.

Y/n: Don't think it's a gift to say I forgive you. I was doing it for the brotherhood. Not you.

I walk past them and toward Qrow and Mum who were talking with Ezio and Connor about the mission.

Y/n: Mum, Qrow, why?

Raven: Why what, Y/n?

Y/n: Why did you keep it a secret? I understand Ozpin but... why you both?

Connor: What are you talking about?

Qrow: Ezio, Connor, can you both keep a secret?

Ezio: If it's something personal about Y/n, yes.

Connor: Of course.

Raven: Have you ever heard of the Isu?

Ezio: Ancient race the Templars are obsessed with? Yeah I've heard of 'em.

Raven: Well, Y/n and Ozpin are the last two. Ozpin by reincarnation, Y/n was put into a stasis by Ozpin before being adopted by... them.

She says while pointing at Summer, Yang and Ruby all hugging.

Connor: Y/n and Ozpin?

Qrow: Oz only told us after Raven adopted Y/n and that's when we knew how important he was. I wanted to tell Y/n but Raven, being protective of him, didn't want him to know for his own safety so I kept it a secret.

Ezio: That's.... crazy. So Y/n and Ozpin are the last of the Isu?

Raven: Yes, and the only ones capable of using the Pieces of Eden without slowly dying from them.

Qrow: Can you both keep it quiet? Unless it's with Ed, and Altaïr.

Ezio: Yeah, we won't tell anyone about it.

Connor: You both have our word.

Y/n: I can't believe it. The three people I trusted most, lied to me.

Qrow: Kid, it was for your protection-

Y/n: I know that! This is just... it hurts to know I've been lied to for years by the people I held closest. I need some time alone.

Qrow: Take all the time you need, kid.

Raven: Let me come with-

Y/n: Raven. Please.

Mum seemed genuinely shocked as since she adopted me I only called her her name was when I was angry or very pissed off. She nodded while I walk off to clear my head from all the information I had been given today.
