Chapter 23

Night had fallen over Hogwarts as both Harry and Hedwig are awake and are getting ready to venture into the dark forrest as due to it being winter it meant it was going to be very cold so they got their winter coats with Harry making sure Hedwig would be warm with a spare

As Harry would also have his invisibility cloak so they can sneak out of the castle which was going to be so much more easier since their is a significant decrease in any patrolling personel in the halls of Hogwarts

As Hedwig had also "aquired" herself a good stash of Wiggenweld potions just incase anything was to happen and they would need to be healed

However as they are getting the last of their things Harry was clearly thinking about something and Hedwig would notice as she would go up to Harry

Hedwig-'Whats wrong Harry?'

Harry-'Remember when we found those Gauntlets at that Pensive memory?'

Hedwig-'Of course'

Harry-'Ophelia said it was to be my armour but its not that armour belongs to Ophelia it was made for her it goes with her design not me if what i am suspecting to be right then i will be needing to get armour to call as my own not hers of course we are not going to leave the armour floating on those Pensives that we must find as they are family relics that belong in our family vault'

He said taking Hedwigs hands and would look into her eyes when he said family since they are going to be with each other as Hedwig blushes

Hedwig-'Why must you always make my heart do somersaults and flips Harry with your talking?'

Harry-'I can stop if you like'

Hedwig-'No please dont i really like it'

She said her face warm as Harry would smile at her and would nod his head as he would bring up his invisibility cloak as it was time to head into the dark forrest

Harry-'Ready my love?'

Hedwig-'Yes i am love'

She said as the pair would walk out of their new room and would ascend the stairs going up to the entrance of the Slitherin dormitory before dawning the cloak over the 2 of them rendering them completely invisible

As they would leave the dorm and make their way though the castle making sure to be careful as their are still staff patrolling the grounds along with a bunch of ghosts of course since this wasnt their first time sneak though the castle it was super easy to get to the outside grounds

Where they would see the dark forrest as Harry's attention would then be on Hagrids hut as he saw the lights are still on inside which means the half giant is very much awake

Harry-'Lets make a quick stop at Hagrids hut'

He said as Hedwig while confused at first doesn't question it as they would arrive outside of his hut within minutes as Harry would shed himself from the cloak before whispering to Hedwig who is still under the cloak

Harry-'Hedwig stay under the cloak and stay out here i wont be long just need to check up with something with Hagrid'

He said as he would then go up to the front door of his hut and would knock on the door as he does nobody would answer at first until Hagrid would open the door holding a giant crossbow pointed at him as Harry immediately would move to get his wand

And only stop cause Hagrid would realise that it was only just him as he would then lower his huge crossbow

Harry-'The hell is that for!?'

He asked referring to the huge weapon as he has been with or seen Hagrid enough times to know that the half giant was never this tense before that he would be carrying a giant Crossbow with him at the ready
