Stolen Cookies

Someone is stealing from the cookie jar!

Which one you ask?

The big one right there,

Sitting on the table in the corner bar!

Anyone can be the culprit,

Mum, Dad, siblings, or even the cat.

"Just leave the investigation to me"

I said like a brit.

All day long,

I searched up and down,

But something was wrong

As I ended up empty handed and a frown.

When night came,

And everyone said goodnight

I snuck back down hoping to catch the culprit,

And turns out my brother thought the same.

He was there before I knew it.

And he caught the culprit red handed.

I turned my head slowly

And I knew I blew it.

I had a cookie in one hand,

A cookie in my mouth,

And another hand in the cookie jar.

Oh silly me,

I forgot to tell you,

I'm the one stealing cookies from the cookie jar.
