dead garden

i spend my days
all dressed in black,
walking down the pavement
my heels go "click-clack"

i walk up the road,
so quiet and cold,
the stone wall surrounding you,
so filthy and old

i hunt for my treasure,
my love, my life,
but i won't get to see you again,
i'll have to wait for the afterlife

i kneel at your tomb,
i give you a kiss,
i lay the lilies by your side
and i hear the wind hiss

the wind robs me
of the warmth that were your hugs,
the comfort of your voice,
the he grave of your heart,
oh, how i wish we could restart

i leave the dead garden
with tears in my eyes,
all my soul wants
is to just to say my goodbyes
