"B, yuh realize seh yuh deh inna labor fi ova two days now?" Jaiden asked me
"Mi nuh care" I said rolling my eyes
"Mi nuh like the idea of the section but please. Mi a guh dung pan mi knee dem inna dah hospital room yah right now. Please do the C-section." Jaiden said trying to convince me
"Noo, mi nuh wah dem cut mi" I cried
"Yuh woulda rather the baby dead inna yuh womb?" he asked trying to make a point
"No" I said closing my eyes
My midwife came in about an hour ago and told us that the baby's heart isn't beating properly and I need to do a C-section but I really don't want to.
We have been like this for the past thirty minutes with him trying to convince me and me refusing everytime he asks.
"Maybe sitting in warm water will help" I said thinking of different ways to give birth
"No" he said
"Yow, listen to mi. Yah do dah C-section deh whether yuh like it or not cause mi can lose the baby but not you" he continued making my eyes widen
"No, Please" I begged
Seeing him walk away from the bed, I heard him call a nurse before he came back to stand beside me.
Seeing a nurse walk in, I started crying.
"She aguh do the C-section" Jaiden said to the nurse
"Ok but why is she crying? Is it because of the pain or-" she stopped mid sentence when she saw that Jaiden was giving her a death glare
"I'll let the doctor know that you guys are ready for the operation" she walked out
Jaiden now turning to look at me, I hissed my teeth.
"Mama, I'm sorry and mi know seh yuh nuh wah dweet but mi nuh wah lose yuh so please do it for me" he begged
Giving in, I agreed

Crying as they pushed the bed that I was on into the operation room, I looked at Jaiden.
"Sorry sir, you cannot be in the room with her" a nurse stopped him before he could come any closer to me
"Wah bet seh mi shoot up every fucka inna dah room yah" Jaiden threatened and I watched the life drain from their faces
"Mi wah unuh fi fuck wid mi cause mi aguh deh there beside har. The wull a unuh can guh nyam shit afta this" he walked over to me
Planting a kiss on my forehead, I closed my eyes.
"I love you mama" he said making me smile
"I love you too" I replied
"We're going to start now" the nurse said walking over to me
Closing my eyes, I said a quick prayer in my head before opening them back.
Seeing everyone looking at me, I looked up at Jaiden to see him looking also wid a smile on his face.
"A wah?" I asked loud enough for everybody to hear
"Mi love how yuh include God inna everything" he said making me smile
"Oh" I said before closing back my eyes
"Mrs. Bartley, are you ready to start?" the nurse asked
"Yes" I said smiling with my eyes closed
