In shadows cast, the villain stands
Not born, but shaped by ruthless hands
Obstacles tower in their way
Yet love compels them to betray
Selfishness born of desperate need
For those they love, they'll plant the seed
Of fear and chaos, to protect
Their shattered hearts so circumspect
No hero's tale could quite compare
To trials the villain must bear
Each scar they wear, a testament
To every battle fiercely spent
They are the truest of us all
Broken, torn, yet still stand tall
Their love burns fierce, their pain runs deep
In darkness, truest hearts do keep
So I take the side of the villain
For their journey holds me in a willing
Embrace of truth, of love, of woe
The heart of the villain, here I show
