In shadows cast, the villain stands

Not born, but shaped by ruthless hands

Obstacles tower in their way

Yet love compels them to betray

Selfishness born of desperate need

For those they love, they'll plant the seed

Of fear and chaos, to protect

Their shattered hearts so circumspect

No hero's tale could quite compare

To trials the villain must bear

Each scar they wear, a testament

To every battle fiercely spent

They are the truest of us all

Broken, torn, yet still stand tall

Their love burns fierce, their pain runs deep

In darkness, truest hearts do keep

So I take the side of the villain

For their journey holds me in a willing

Embrace of truth, of love, of woe

The heart of the villain, here I show
