"I'm sick of playing chase," you sigh.

Nat sends you a glare. Obviously not the right time to be cracking jokes. She continues pulling you and Yelena down the corridor outside your room. You hear footsteps thumping behind you, the widows are obviously hot on your tail. You reach the end of the hall and Yelena smashes open a window. But she pauses as she yanks her hand out of Nat's grip.

"Let go of me!"

She quickly rushes out of the window and you're quick to follow still hand in hand with Nat. But your suddenly yanked back. The widow was latching onto Nat's other arm. Nat pushes you behind and begins attacking the her. The two of them wrestle about. It's hard for you to watch but also you'd only make it worse if you joined in.

Nat manages to flip her over and she smashes her head on a doorframe nearby. You cringe at the sight. Ow.

Nat grabs your hand again as the other widow comes crashing down the hall. You both leap onto the roof and catch up to Yelena, now running across the building, the second widow not far behind you. You get to the edge and Yelena is already loosening one of the attachments on the building so you can get to the ground somewhat safely. Better than jumping.

The attachment starts tilting and Yelena and Nat grab on as it lowered. Nat waves her hand about in the air gesturing for you to jump. You leap to get Nat's hand but the other widow grips onto your leg leading you both to fall to the ground. You yelp as you keep hitting things on the way down.

"Y/n!," Nat screams as she rushes over to you.

Yelena and her had somehow landed successfully. You clutch at your head. That's definitely a concussion. You look over to the widow, shes broken everywhere. She begins lifting her arm to her face. You're not sure what she's doing, you can't really hear anything either your ears are ringing. And actually, your eyelids are feeling pretty heavy. Everything goes black.

The next time you wake up you hear a low rumbling. You look around and notice your laying down across the chairs of the quinjet. You smile at the blanket wrapped around you. You shuffle up slowly to look around. Your head kinda aches but it's not too bad. The shit you hit as you were falling must have saved you from any serious injury. Well except a headache.

You look to the front of the jet and Nat is piloting it. Yelena is sitting beside her in the copilot position. Neither of them have noticed you are up. You try to stand up but your legs wobble beneath you sending you colliding with the ground. Nat glances behind her at the thud, flicks the jet on autopilot and rushes to your side.

"Y/n! You have a concussion. You have to rest for a bit and recover," she says hoisting you up and stabilising you by resting her arm around your hip.

"Sorry I just wanted to get over to you," you pout.

She gently pecks your lips. God, I'm never getting used to that. You stop pouting as you feel your cheeks heating up.

"We will land soon, Yelena will man the plane so I can stay with you," she says as she helps you back to your seat and wraps the blanket around you.

You lift up one side to let her snuggle next to you. She pulls you into her side and gently plays with your hair.

"You scared me when you fell. I hate that you keep getting in these dangerous situations. I know we've only just started to get along, but I really can't lose you," she mumbles still stroking your head.

You snuggle closer to her, all you can think to say is, "I'm sorry. But we will be back soon, so no more danger for a while."

She nods in response but she doesn't seem too convinced. The rest of the trip Nat and you remain close together. It's really nice, you really needed a hug. Your whole body aches, despite you doing your best not to show it and you're desperate to see everyone. It's going to be nice to be home.
Just as you're thinking about that, Yelena begins to prep for landing. You watch out the window as the Avengers are all waiting for you to land. Kate waves up at you, a huge beaming smile on her face.

Yelena lands and the three of you exit, you reach to grab Nat's hand but she pulls it away from you. You look at her slightly confused, what's with the attitude change? But you decide you're just overthinking. Kate immediately pulls you into a hug. You sense you two were going to have a long conversation about the other day, but that'd have to wait for later. You are exhausted as of right now.

Next Steve pulls you in, "I missed you!," he says squeezing you super tightly. You move around to hug everyone else, it's really nice to be with your new family again. They all lead you inside so the three of you can explain what happened. After telling them everything, you all agree it's best to come up with a plan of action tomorrow after some much needed rest.

You and Nat walk to your rooms together, except she doesn't even look at you, and once she gets to her room she closes the door on your face. Maybe you weren't overthinking it. Something's definitely not right. She was being so sweet before but now that you are back, she wants nothing to do with you anymore.

Did I do something wrong?

You grumble dragging yourself to bed. You roll around for a while sore almost everywhere, and unable to find a comfortable position. Nat possibly being mad at you only adds to your discomfort. Slowly your breathing evens out and you begin to fall asleep. What a long day.
