In Phoenix's world, hanahaki is a rare disease, so rare few people even know it exists, the few who know mainly consist of doctors, and people who actually have the disease, and people who study things like that, but those people are few and far between.
And fortunately for Phoenix she was none of the above.
Until she met him.
Hanahaki: A disease where the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from unrequited love, it can only end when the feelings are returned or the person suffering dies, or they have surgery to remove the flowers, but in doing so the victim loses the ability to love, and in some cases most or all of the memories of the one they loved.
