Grayson's POV
After Yann left, I went to the headquarters
But... For some reason... I didn't realize that I was smiling earlier... laughing and... enjoying my time with someone I just met...
I did fall in love once and... I always tell myself that I will never fall in love with someone ever again... I was born alone... I lived and survived all by myself... And I'm gonna die all alone...
But earlier... Why???
Why did I smile? Why did I laugh? Why am I nervous earlier??... I guess these questions are not that impossible to answer but...
I just sighed and entered the gate
As I entered, I noticed that there are a bunch of men who look intimidating.
My co-police friend Oliver Davies approached me.
"Hey Gray! Where were you huh?!" He said and poked my chest
"I... I am not feeling well but I feel bad if I don't go to the headquarters. So, here I am..." I said while trying to convince him with my lie
"Aw Gray... Tsk tsk... I'm your best friend..." Oliver said and whispered in my ear
"I know if you're lying or not... Did you overslept?" He said and I just sighed
"You know what? Let's just change the topic..." I said while pushing him away
"You are a naughty boy aren't you? You should be thankful that Dennis admires you and is kind enough to do your work-" I didn't let him finish and I covered his mouth
"Can you lower your voice? You're going to get me in trouble!" I whispered to him while looking at him intensely
He shoved my hands
"Yeah... Right! It's always me! Always my fault! But why don't you try to smile more huh? You are the most serious person I have ever met." Oliver said while raising his eyebrows
I just scoffed and looked at him annoyed
"Just leave me alone..." I said and looked away
"You are really Grayson, not an imposter." Oliver said while tapping my shoulders
"Anyways, who are those people?" I asked
"Ah... They're undercover agents." Oliver replied
"Hm... Then why are they here?" I said with a confused face
"Oh yeah, speaking of that... It was reported that General Harold was threatened. Do you remember those idiots General captured two weeks ago? Those illegal drugs and weapon transactions? Well, it was actually the most powerful mafia group who General Harold messed with..." He stated
"And?..." I said while raising my eyebrows and he continued
"And... It was also reported that they sent an assassin to kill the General. So, they are here to give him protection." Oliver said while crossing his arms
"I can't believe those people. Geez..." I said angrily
"I know how much you love the General. He is like a father to you, and I know that you won't let anyone hurt him." Oliver said while smiling
