FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW

So we were taken to Pearl Harbor, then we disembarked and were quickly guided to the command office. On the other hand, Allen M. Sunmer was quickly taken to the hospital; it seems Prince of Wales is the commander of this base. It didn't take long for us to enter the office and sit in front of her. My sister seems very excited to see one of her favorite waifus.

Guise: Hey sis, she's really cute.

Me: Yeah, I know, but we need to focus on the meeting.

Guise: Okay.

Wales: Well, welcome to Pearl Harbor base. My name is Prince of Wales, I'm the commander of this base. Could you introduce yourselves, please?

Me: Destroyer BAP Villar DD-71, I'm a Fletcher-class destroyer.

Guise: My name is BAP Almirante Guise DD-72, Fletcher-class destroyer.

Me: We're both from the Peruvian navy, part of the surface force.

Wales: Peru? Isn't that a country in South America?

Me: Indeed, we are destroyers from that country.

Wales: (sigh) I don't know how to tell you this, but your country doesn't exist here.

Me: (surprised) What do you mean it doesn't exist here?

Wales: The Sirens conquered that country, and no country in South or Central America exists anymore; they were taken by the Sirens. Although, listening to your report, it seems you come from another world.

Me: (snapping out of thoughts and confused) Ah, yes, we are not from this world; we come from an alternate reality to yours.

Wales: Although I can see that this doesn't affect you much.

Me: Ah, yes, it affected me a bit. It saddens me a little that in this world, my home country doesn't exist.

Guise: (downplaying it) Not so much for me...

Me: Hey, don't be insensitive.

Guise: Between us... the Sirens did our country and all of Latin America a favor.

Me: Ah... You're right about that. But what about the oath we took when we raised the flag?

Guise: Those politicians just brush the oath aside... you know where. They do nothing for the country. Why should I respect them? I care about the country, you, and my American sisters; beyond that, no one else.

Me: Sorry, Wales, but my sister really hates politicians. Where we come from, these scoundrels are experts at legally stealing.

Wales: Yes, I noticed. The way your sister talks about politicians is with a tone of fury. Changing the subject, could you tell me more about yourselves?

Here came the bomb, so as everything was already planned, we decided to tell Wales everything. The topics we avoided were classified information from our country, missile technology, our lives as American ships, and our human lives. Apart from those topics, we told her everything.

Wales: I see. So, you are ships with reverse-engineered technology, much like the Kongou-class battleships.

Me: Something like that.

Wales: Although I didn't expect a country identical to Sakura and Iron Blood to fight against us and Eagle Union.

Me: Yes, it was a very bloody war where millions and millions of lives were lost in an absurd war that no one wanted or asked for. But it seems the leaders of the countries had very different thoughts.

Wales: Well, now that I understand your situations, I think it's convenient for you to stay with us. If you wish, I can welcome you to Azur Lane.

Me: It won't be too much trouble; we appreciate you giving us a place to live.

Wales: I think that's fine. From now on, you will be assigned here. The problem is that you already have knowledge of your world, but you don't have a history here, so you will have to attend the academy and graduate from there. I can take care of your paperwork and give you identities so you can move around here without any problems.

Me: Thank you very much for the gesture; we are in your debt.

Wales: Since Allen's fleet has two vacancies, I will assign you to her fleet.

Me: That's fine.
