Three weeks.

In three weeks...

From the elementary school that Chan and I work at to the high school Chan works at, there was a pretty big school trip that was planned to be taken. I was honestly surprised by the scale of it, but after a bit of awkward talking with Chan, he mentioned that it was a trip that the school took students on every four years. Which explains why I wasn't familiar with it in the first place, I guess, since I'd only been here for two.

That sounds nice but concerning at the same time.

Concerning because it's an overnight trip, and we literally have elementary school students with us. Like--what? And we're gonna be staying at a hot spring? I mean, I get it for the older students, but five year olds? The same five year olds that shouldn't even be left in the baths alone at home?

...

Then again, the pups need permission slips to go. And based on the rules, the pups weren't allowed in the springs. Only the older kids with permission from their parents were allowed to use them. But still!

But apparently this was normal here. Which shocked the hell out of me too. As the day after I sent home permission slips with the pups, a ton of them returned with their permission slips, and the money that would be needed for them to go.

Honestly, I was seriously debating what to do about Beomsun. I wasn't really comfortable with him going on an overnight trip, even if I would be there in the vicinity. I wanted so badly to reject him going on the trip. But my parents wouldn't be able to take him while I had to be away, and I wasn't comfortable with finding my pup a babysitter on a whim.

I don't really want to upset my pup by going on a trip without him, either. I mean...

This is normal here, so...surely they have safety precautions in place. And Chan would be the one responsible for him, so...I can trust that Chan will keep him safe. Right?

I could also voice my concerns to Chan. He's been on this trip before, twice. So...he should have a good idea of what to expect...right?

I absentmindedly tapped my pen's bottom against my desk, not quite clicking it, but letting it make a tiny thumping noise as I thought. Considering my options, it did seem like letting Beomsun go on the trip would be the best idea. He would be under Chan's care, and...it isn't like I wouldn't be able to pop in and check on my son, either. I would be on the trip with him. So...

I let out a little sigh. Getting stressed out by my thoughts. And it definitely wasn't the worst thing I had to fret about, either. Yeah, my son going on an overnight field trip was a big deal to me, but...it didn't exactly hold a candle to him literally deeming his teacher as his father. At least the field trip thing will pass by with relative ease, once my mama instincts scope out the situation. But Beomsun deciding Chan was his daddy? That wasn't just gonna go away if I slept on it enough or thought on it. It was here to stay until I guided Beomsun away from it. And...still, I really didn't have any idea of how I should go about doing that.
