OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS, THINGS HAD BEEN GOING WELL.

Choi Miso had managed to make her family believe that they were right about the South Side and that she no longer spent her free time out of school with them — knowing full well she would have a Greaser enter her bedroom late at night.

Her parents were easy to convince. All she had to do was tell them that they were the ones right all along and apologize and they were satisfied.

Her brother was a little hesitant, however after her parents had spoken to him and told him to believe her, he did, because Choi Beomgyu did anything to please his mother and father.

It was the first day of Summer and the Summer Holidays, and Miso was clad in a pair of baby pink shorts and a matching pink crop top with her bikini underneath. She had woken up early that morning because her friends had planned a trip to the cliff top, and they wanted to spend all day together.

"Where are you off?" She heard her father wonder from the kitchen as he took a sip from his hot cup of coffee.

Smiling widely, Miso looked up from the laces on her white converse and over to her dad. "Kai and I are gonna head out to the beach for the day." She lied — that was something she'd become good at over the past six months.

By now, her mother had joined her fathers side and nodded her head, allowing her to go. The girl waved to her parents, mentally rolling her eyes and hurriedly opened the door and walked out.

She couldn't wait to get away from that place for good.

Gripping onto her handbag, Miso walked down the street. She was excited. She loved the summer and her friends, so when she was asked to join them on their hangout, she didn't hesitate once to decline.

As she turned the corner, a grin formed on her lips as her eyes landed on the Nishimura boy, who was leaned against the brick wall, a cancer stick between his teeth. Ever since her parents began thinking Miso had no connection with the South Side anymore, Niki had started to meet her around the corner of her home so that they wouldn't be caught together.

"Niki!" She called out to him, her voice filled with joy, causing him to look up and over at her. A smirked tugged at his lips as he looked her up and down, finding her outfit cute and classy, and he threw his cigarette to the floor once she was in front of him.

"Looking good, Doll." He winked, placing his hands on her hips and pulling her into him so that he could plant his lips against hers. It was short and sweet, yet filled with love, and once they pulled away with giddy smiles on their faces, Niki wrapped his arm around the girls shoulder and they began heading to Heeseung's place.

Once arriving, there were two cars parked outside the home that belonged to Heeseung and Sunghoon, and everyone else was was standing beside them, drips of sweat gliding down their faces as they moped about.

"Finally!" The couple heard Jake scoff in relief and throw his head back. "I was starting to melt." He exclaimed in an over-dramatic tone and ran a hand through his raven hair.

Miso chuckled at the boy and rolled her eyes, shaking her head as she and Niki stood with the group.

"Quit being dramatic, Jake." Niki nudged his friends shoulder, causing everyone to chuckle and for Jake to nudge Niki back, making both boys laugh.

"Let's split," Heeseung suggested, shoving his hand in the back pocket of his denim jeans. "Four in my car, three in Sunghoon's."

"Miso's in my car." Sunghoon insisted as he unlocked his vehicle; Miso, who couldn't help but laugh at the boy, following behind him, Niki instinctively following after her.

"I call shotgun!" Miso yelled out with a grin on her lips as she pulled open the car door and hurried in.

Eventually, it was decided that Ria would also go in Sunghoon's car, and everyone else would go with Heeseung, and before anyone knew it, the group were driving down the empty road.

Sunghoon's car had no roof, so the summer wind blew through Miso's dark hair as she listened to the music that was playing on the radio. Their laughter was heard from almost everywhere as the drivers tried to overtake one another, swerving on the roads. The speed they were going at was fast and the Choi girl couldn't help but feel free.

It was fun and refreshing, and as Miso let laughter fall from her lips, she became unaware of Niki, who was watching her from the back, a look of awe in his brown eyes. He was madly in love, and he didn't care.

Finally, once the nine of them arrived at the cliff top, they hurried out of the car, leaving Heeseung and Jay to get the towels and radio from the boot.

"Come look, Miso." The girl heard Jungwon beckon her over, and instantly, Miso walked over to where he was standing at the edge of the cliff.

Choi Miso could feel her heart pound against her chest as she looked over the edge. They were high up and that made the girl feel nauseous. The water below was piercing blue and so clean that it was almost transparent. It was truly a beautiful sight.

"Whoa..." Miso breathed out, glancing over at Jungwon, who held a grin on his face.

"High right?" He scoffed out a chuckle and Miso bobbed her head in agreement. "Let's jump."

"What?!" Miso blurted in shock whilst taking a step back from the edge. Was he crazy? Insane even? There was no way she was going to jump from somewhere of that height.

However, as the younger girl turned around to tell the group about Jungwon's deranged idea, she was taken aback to see that the boys were now shirtless and in their shorts and Ria was in her bikini.

"You're jumping?" Miso questioned, inching her head forward as her eyes widened, and the eight of them nodded their heads, quietly chuckling at her reaction.

"You'll be fine, Doll," Niki reassured, grabbing onto Miso's hand and pulling her beside him. "You can jump with me." He stated, and she nervously looked up at him and then over to her friends who were getting ready to jump.

"What if we die? — I don't want to die."

Niki let out a laugh and shook his head. "Don't worry, So, we do this every year and no one's died — yet." He joked, placing his hands on the side of her face as she pouted, playfully.

And, before Choi Miso knew it, she was in her bikini and standing at the edge of the cliff, hand in hand with her boyfriend as she looked down at her friends, who had already jumped in and were now swimming around.

"You ready?" She heard Niki ask, gently squeezing her hand.

Miso licked her lips and slowly looked over at him, nodding her head hesitantly, causing Niki to smirk.

"Okay," He nodded, letting out a deep breath. "Three... Two... One!"
